Nearly that time of year agin who and why do you fancy certain players.

QB P Rivers, Pass happy SD.
S Bradford, Even pass happier Rams.

WR A Johnson, Best in the game, has good QB and a improved but still poor D so they often need big chunks of change in a hurry.
V Jackson Pass Happy SD again.

RB  A Foster, think hen is that good despite losing his lead blocker.
J Charles 6 yd avg last season per rush, unheard off in the NFL for years!
L Blount, came on strong 2nd half of last season.

My players to avoid,

A Peterson as has to go against Suh and friends twice a season.
P Manning, might miss games through injury or be behind the curve early if missing to much of pre season.
B Lloyd, QB position in Denver not setteled and lost Offensive Co Ordinator to the Rams I believe.

No way Bradford leads the league in yardage!  GL anyway.

Not a fan of these RB/WR markets.  Bit of a crapshoot.  Last years winners (Foster and Lloyd) were not even in the betting!  Saying that, I think Rice could be EW value now they have the texans full back on board.  I like Blount EW too.

Got Megatron @ 18/1 too which could be frisky.

Rams are not really pass happy as they have no one to throw to and an elite running back.

Matt Ryan passing yards at 26.00 looks the best value as they are a dome team who have already said they plan to throw the ball more with their improved weapons.

Running backs, Charles is a terrible price 6 yards a game because he was a big unknown and used as a situation guy after T Jones had done all his work for him wont happen this year as he gets more first and second down carries. Ray Rice at 17 with 365 if pushed. Tempted by McFadden at 34 but there is no way he lasts 16 games.

Worth waiting a couple of weeks for these bets to see how sides are going to use players and what sort of shape they are in.

Bradford had 590 pass attempts last season the 3rd highest in the NFL in his rookie season. I think the Rams new Offensive Co Ordinator will mean Sam puts the ball in the air even more, as you rightly say no quality WR but then dont mean he cant win, nice big price.

Good views.
I'll be avoiding Rivers, only because I think the Chargers may have a running game this year and could be walking some games and killing clock 4th quarter.
Not exactly an original choice but Peyton might be a solid bet, don't see their running game having huge joy and their D will concede points so he's a runner for 60 mins (if he stays fit).
Brees is a runner too.
Great market but I hate the fact you could be 300 yards in front entering week 17 and find your man is rested for the play offs while your nearest challenger racks up 450 yards !
Good luck

Passing yards- rivers or schaub.
Rushing yards- peterson or charles
Receiving yards- andre johnson or vincent jackson.
lots of trixies to keep things interesting, when i am allowed. many online bookies say they are related even when i perm players from different teams. in fairness to lads they accept any combo, even if they are on the same team.

Just a quick view on jammal charles, i dont like his odds as t.jones and others will take some off his carries away to keep him explosive, but he wasnt an unknown last year. In 2009 he had over 1000 yds on under 200 carries with a 5.9 avg. This was without anyone like t.jones helping him out.
Im pretty sure alot off teams were looking out for him last year. Charles is a beast off a rb and he has proved that imo over the last season and a half.
The only reason he wont win the rushing title imo is because off haley wanting him fresh and sharing his carries.

other bets wise i like
rice
calvin and desean.

I think Calvin (Megatron) Jackson is one of the top 3 WR in the league, I just cant have him as Detoit have not invested in a OLT to Protect the QB who will go down again this season leaving Calvin high and dry.

Like Rivers for the yardage, but cannot see passed Rodgers.  None of those pass defenses in the NFC North are more than "meh", and their schedule isn't the toughest.

Top WR has to be Big Andre for me.  First off, he's the best in the league not named Larry Fitzgerald, secondly, who else is there?  Megatron?  Yeah, that Lions O-line is dominant.  Not.  Wayne?  Not with Manning out.  The only real contenders are Jennings and White.

Top RB will be a terrific race.  I think Foster is the man, but you can make great arguments for Charles, Rice and Mendenhall.  Don't sleep on MJD either.

Foster out today - will alreadty be 100+ yards behind the competition.
I've sold Big Ben, Hakeem Nicks and Mike Turner on Sporting Index's QB/RB/WR index

Foster can easily make those yards back in that division, and with some of the opponents they will be facing, especially at the Reliant.
