Soccer rules in this bustling bar in the heart of Amsterdam, but Sunday night is devoted to the NFL. If you're worried you'll miss the big game, the staff will tape it for you and even arrange a special late-night viewing. If you're in the mood for a bite -- not uncommon in this smokin' city -- indulge in the pancakes.

I stayed here on my stag night, many moons ago - the atmosphere is superb.

The Globe is also best known for its sports bar, which is the biggest in the Red Light District and is open up to 3 o'clock in the morning (or 5 am in the weekend)!! You can view all major sport events (like the Premier League, European League, Super Bowl, N.F.L., N.B.A., & etc.) on 9 T.V.'s and 2 bigscreens. There are also two pool tables and one darts board for any exciting moments. In the bar, not only English or American breakfast is served, but also delicious lunch or dinner for you to order.

If you want something a little more high brow, one of the American chain restaurants (TGI's I think) also have a Superbowl party but you need to book in advance, we didn't enjoy it in here although they did have the Amsterdam Admirals cheerleaders

I moved on to an Irish Bar called 'Durty Nellies'  there was only half a dozen people watching the game Sad
That was the year Carolina Panthers knocked out the Eagles, I was £4,500 'Green' on Philly and had flights on standby to fly out to watch the Superbowl in the states, we switched to Amsterdam when Donovan McNabb played dismally, which he's now does very often but it was gobsmacking at the time.
