was a good game

By:
lot of remarks about these 2 teams being poor compared to the other NFC teams,,,imo i think we have seen 2 very good defences tonight

had this penciled in for weeks...what a price the saints were coming in here...wd brees with that drive

just another game lockyer that proves their is nothing in this nfc...they have won some close games and this one they lost
By:
think il be laying off my saints outright if they go to the eagles...outdoors in cold philly will be a game too far imo
By:
falcons ran for 75 yards on the 21st ranked run D[smiley:crazy]
no fookin chance of winning with that |
By:
I think the eagles would get beaten by the saints personally.
By:
Saints don't win in Philly, they desperatly need the Panthers to beat the Falcs next week but thats a 100-1 shot in my book, Carolina are the worst team in NFL by a very wide margin.
By:
its not that they lost harry, its the manner in which they lost ,too many close games for my liking ,they're in a false position, not good enough to take on the elite teams
By:
SDL is right, it's been a strange season and Atlanta as the number 1 seed and possibly Chicago as number 2 is a reflection of a stange season. I'd make neither team top 8 in power rankings.

The whole eagles playoff campaign is on 1 player. Yes he is at rhenium of his game bit he is going to be feeling the pressure come January and defences will have studied the tape. I think the eagles and the pats are being hyped up beyond belief.
By:
DeSean Jackson would dispute that, he has the potential to become an Elite receiver very soon. Maclin and McCoy are also very talented. Solid TE and the kicker is the best in the business for my money
By:
I'm sticking with Philly, I think the Confernce game will be at their place and then Michael Vick at Dallas would be a very formidable opponent for any AFC side.
By:
just watched this game. How did the Falcons lose that?? Tonite proves that the Falcons aint up to scratch against the BIG boys. A horrible defeat for Falcon backers
By:
d13phe you dont think the eagles can beat the saints?what do you base this on?you said you couldnt see the packers beating the giants [;)]
il be taking the packers, saints or eagles v atlanta in the dome....but to say they arent upto scratch or cant beat an elite team is a bit naive, they have beaten the packers and the ravens here....2 good Ds on show tonight,,,atlanta had an off night on offence,it happens, they lost a tight game,i expect all the nfc games too be tight so no reason why atlanta wont win a tight game..it will come down to the wire in the playoffs...they have an excellent defence,, |
By:
Harry. I probably didn't respect the packers enough. A mistake I wont forget tuis year. They are certainly going to cause an upset or few.
As for eagles, I think they at home are a formidable force and always have been but I think brees and co have the weapons to win a potential shootout plus their D is starting to come up big as they did last year. Would be a great game either way. agree about atlanta. Their D really impressed me last night and if turner didn't fumble on the goal line it could have been a different story. |
By:
Saints also nearly turned the ball over at the death last night...if you look at last nights game.saints stuffed the running game but even when matt ryan had a lot of time his receivers were all covered...the secondary for the saints look vunerable too the big play...drew a few big flags and got away with it when turner fumbled...i could see macklin and desean jackson having a good day v them...
By:
The fact that matt ryan could only put 7 points on the saints in his beloved dome has to go down as very disappointing. He's just not got the weapons outside of white and gonzales and this team wont beat the eagles or packers in a shootout, just not going to happen.Looking very possible that they've already peaked this season and i expect them to bomb out in their first home game.
