Lot of pressure at the combine as mugs like Al Davis pay so much attention to the time, runners often a bit tense and dont run as quick as they can. In relation to how guys play i would say it isn;t that useful. Larry Fitzgeralf ran something like 4.66, didn't effect is draft stock as they knew how physically strong he was, was as quick in full pads  |

I'm very poor at such things, but isn't it correct if you say "He has run" related to a time prior to now, but if you're specifically talking about his combine day, then "He ran" sounds better?
