Anybody else experienced this.....

Just checked my PC Charge for last week (18th-24th) and noticed that an NFL market that was settled on the 25th at 00.14 has been taken into consideration to generate my gross profit for the week.

Been onto the helpdesk and they're going to consult the pricing team but I can't see how it should be included.  For all they know I could have gone on to lose in that market.

All replies appreciated :-)

nope.....they are showing my gross profit as twice my net p&l

It's a market that was settled after midnight.

fwiw.....

still waiting for the pricing team to get back to me but from studying the last few weeks statements but it looks like any events that start before midnight count towards that weeks premium charge - bizarre eh!?!

Why they can't just say midnight to midnight for settled events I don't know.

as a weekly pc payer i've concluded the following from experience:

* the pc cut off comes at the same time as the betfair points decay (see your betfair points statement in my account to work out which week markets were placed in)

* i'm not sure how consistent they are in their application of this but in the betfair points explained link (above your points statement) it says that the decay is supposed to occur at midnight gmt. of course that means 1am for the majority of the year, although not for a few months from this week as the clocks are going back.

The decay doesn't tend to happen till 4am or 5am. The problem comes with matches in that "twilight zone". A couple of years ago, I was right on the threshold for a particular commission level on a couple of different occasions. Sunday Night Baseball earned me enough points to get the higher discount, but come the decay the lower discount was showing. Both times contacting the helpdesk fixed it, but it's not ideal.

Have the decay at exactly midnight if you say you're going to so everyone knows where they stand if you ask me. Anything starting before but finishing after should be part of the following week so that everyone knows where they stand. As usual with Betfair, they never seem to take the straightforward approach when they can take a different random approach to confuse things.

it seems that the answer to this is that the PC is worked out using GMT and the Betting P&L on the website uses BST.

The hour difference pushes the market that closes at 00.00 to 00.59 into PC territory.

Bizarre.
