Magnificent series from Habs and fully deserved , main hope now is they can keep it going for Bruins/Flyers as having beaten both Caps and Pens there must be a danger of producing a flat series as so often happens , really hope not cos that would be a shame.

Last years playoffs were a breeze compared to this years, I'm glad I haven't been involved as much this time around. Fancied the Habs last night but only watched, road teams 3-0 in Game 7's now, but only twice in NHL history has a side come from 0-3 to take a series 4-3 so will be a very interesting night in Boston on Friday.
MAF and Geno very disappointing for the Pens throughout the playoffs really, my Flyers bet is still standing but otherwise I'd like to see the Habs do it this year, would be a great story. |

You must be delighted that Flyers are still involved Panda , must have a great chance of winning tomorrow as the home ice decider seems to be a hindrance rather than an advantage and then of course they would have the extra home game if required against Habs if they meet.
Agree would be a great story but worried for Habs after 2 great series wins they may find it hard to perform to that level against a perceived lesser team , one things for sure whoever wins the Eastern side of things will have a monumental task in the final be it against Hawks or Sharks. Good luck tomorrow night and also for Ice king who has played them ante-post as well if I remember correctly. |

Flyers 2.12 :) just feels right, they could lose 4-0 and i'd still think i had the best of it, cant wait for what should be a cracking game.

yes agree cox , just the fact they are odds against and away from the pressure of home ice is sufficient reason for me to have a small moneyline bet , this game has become even bigger since the qualification of Habs ( with respect to them ) as the winners will have any decider over Habs on home ice and they'll both be thinking what an opportunity to reach a Stanley cup final , be a tense nervy night and we'll probably not see the best hockey but the extra freedom Flyers will feel may give them the edge.

Not sure the habs will play a part mate, i think both teams will be focussed only on game 7, bruins should have the pressure of knowing the will go down in history for all the wrong reasons if they lose tonight. Flyers have momentum, confidence and chris pronger, i cant see past them. Your right tho abt it being a cagey game, replace great with tense in my last post.

Agree cox , don't think it will play a part on the ice tonight but find it impossible to believe the players on both sides were not overjoyed by the Pens exit , although quite rightly would never make those feelings public.

yeah followed you in on the flyers. Ice hockey is a game ive never really watched or know anything about. Always wanted too though so giving it a go. V entertaining so far

the sub 1.2 reg lay may come in handy later , if Flyers score next can probably ensure no loss on the game with what'll be on offer.
Be good if you became a regular davenufc , the thread's been going for many months and it's been a great season all round tbh , that's the problem looking in on isolated night's in that it becomes pot luck to follow. |

who do you like for the stanley cup hayden? If Antti Niemi can maintain his recent level i like the hawks but its so open, unlike any other sport you could argue going 3/1 all 4 conf finalists.

must admit the West final is an absolute coin flip for me , Sharks infinitely better than this time last season and will be really tough to beat at home I think , an never be totally sure if the extra break will be beneficial or not come Sunday , didn't seem to do Flyers any good after seeing of Devils very early.
Must be some doubt whether Habs can match the level of the Caps & Pens series against a perceived lesser team , just hope it's not a flat performance by them now the expectations will have risen so much |
