Never do it

I have a friend who does the Thunderball. Does the same 5 numbers with every Bonus ball or whatever you call it. The times he has hit 4 numbers from 5. So he gets i think £100 13 times for 4 numbers and £5.000 once for the bonus with 4 numbers.

How mant times he has hot 2 and 3 numbers is silly.

But i still never do it. Only Pools won £13,000 back in the late 80s.And small returns apart from that

ah well, pretty obvious this was gonna be a bad scoring game!!

Montreal Canadiens at Edmonton Oilers (-130, 5.5)

There might be some tired legs on the Canadiens, who haven't slept in their own beds since the season began. They are wrapping up a five-game trip.

Meanwhile, the Oilers should be well-rested as they haven't had to leave town. They are closing out a four-game homestand to open the season.

Both teams have issues in net. The Canadiens are rotating Jaroslav Halak and Carey Price without much success and the Oilers continue to go with Nikolai Khabibulin. All three have GAAs of 3.50 or greater.

The Canadiens are 3-1 against the over; the Oilers are 3-0. And in the last nine meetings, the over is 7-1-1.

Pick: Over

why cant i get into the sport?
i love nfl, college football and baseball so not anti american sprts or anything
basketball not so much but can still watch and enjoy it
but i just cant take to hockey
went to watch a brit league game but still didnt like it
shame cos looks like theres gonna be loads of it on espn

I'm exactly the same but for NFL. Love NHL and like MLB/NBA, but I just can't take to nfl no matter how much I watch it. General pattern of the game just seems to be throw ball, stop, hustle, adverts, throw ball, adverts, time-out, throw ball, adverts :D

Jordi, do the Rangers fit into your system tonight?

At home to a Ducks side who came through a tough game against the Flyers last night, Rangers won the past 3 and have had a couple of days rest.

The divisional matches around the corner is always a consideration for me but think you have to read between the lines as well so it's an element for selection but a bigger element for leaving the game alone for my spreadsheet , another dangerous selection criteria I think may be happening to a few guys is being drawn to the live TV games and therefore allowing the live TV coverage to drive bets on that match ( don't follow soccer myself but imagine it happens in that sport a lot ) , the process should be the reverse and using espn360 makes that immaterial to me as they are all live anyway so the research drives the selections ( I mean why else would I sit through the entire game in Nashville last night tbf ), watched the sharks later and since Heatley made his statement about how he loves it in San Jose on and off the ice he could be a regular season goal machine tbh , brilliant finisher.

off to preview tonight's matches , speak later.

evening guys

Only 2 matches tonight but hard to resist backing NYR in the early 10pm game , there's some 1.8 commission free still available with bookmakers which is value I think , Ducks had a great week but asking a lot to raise the bar again for the 4th road game in 6 nights and the recent wins overstated slightly with Boston all over the place and Philly suffering after the divisional intensity of the Pens game as so often happens , NYR are in good nick and with 3 homers in the next 4 nights and all against western teams what an opportunity , also Avery making his seasonal debut is a plus for me on home ice and will be as fresh as the team with 3 days break after the win in Washington , playing the moneyline as I like the Rangers chances in a potential SO if it goes that far , the later game in Vancouver is far too difficult for me and one to look for a very cheap lay if somone takes charge of the game early , Canucks have a divisional double header next weekend but have 5 days to prepare and although looking good in the Habs win hindsight tells us that Habs are in abysmal form right now , no bet in this one.

good luck later , will be mixing my viewing with NFL night.

Hayden any hint as to where one may find the 1.8 available?
By:
Hayden
When: 11 Oct 09 18:24
1.8 seems to have vanished since the NFL started , it was 1.79 on here last time I looked , have a look around if you fancy opening a new a/c somewhere as there's bound to be a free bet available to go with it.

How much do bookies generally limit the bets to for NHL?
By:
Hayden
When: 11 Oct 09 18:37
depends who they are tbh , if you have one bet and use the free bet up you may not want them too much more anyway , never have a problem myself as have 17 different cards under other names from relatives so impossible to catch me tbh , also have some contacts down south that can place under a different IP address if required.

What are £3.65 like? They seem to have a free £200 bet going, might just join them for that, I'm only registered on here tbh.

hayden when you walk intoa bookies are you like a gunslinger with 2 smoking guns
By:

When: 11 Oct 09 18:47
anyone you join always read the terms and conditions of the free bet before diving in feet first , yes mate none of my family bet so they are fine " donating " a card for my personal use and the added bonus is they live in all parts of the country and abroad so hard to pin down any IP information.

no when I frequent bookmakers I am a true gentleman and ALWAYS leave a tip , it wouldn't be sensible to be anything other than the perfect customer.

also like the spreadsheet very good, i can see why you are good at what you do,didnt have time to look the other day due to kids and work but its very good
By:

When: 11 Oct 09 19:10
tbh it's not rocket science and I have the discipline to stick to what I know ( racing , nhl , nfl and tennis ) and totally ignore the sports I get no enjoyment from and no interest in following ( boxing , golf , soccer etc ) and don't deviate from the long term plan so ignore daily performances so never tempted to change a system I know works , whether NYR win or lose tonight is immaterial long term and a jot on a landscape whereas people looking at daily targets is fraught with danger and ofter end up looking for a bet that isn't there for the fear of having a losing " day "

yes must agree, think you also have the experiance that a lot of others dont,
