Thinking of having a mug bet on the Giants.

Who'd like to take my money? :-)

Also, who does everyone else think will win it this year?

Giants advance to the NLCS! Grin

Can't see them getting past the Phillies though, unless the bats turn hot.

Great stuff. It's been a great season.

You trading out or leaving it?

I'm in it for the long run, all or nothing for me Laugh

Nah, I'm gonna let it run. I only invested £20, purely because I was feeling particularly flush after landing a couple of mugg accas. Laugh Normally I struggle to justify putting money into a market that could run for more than a day, never mind 7 months!

Can't see us beating Halladay in Game 1 though. Doc is more likely no pitch another no hitter than any of the Giants doing anything of note against him! All depends on whether Lincecum can go toe to toe with him.

I wonder what the total runs line will be on this one...

do either sf or tex have a realistic chance of causing an upset? the phi rotation is pretty awesome. although the nyy pitchers look a tad vulnerable they should get a lot of run support. phi/nyy ws looks a given.

I wouldn't rule out the Giants. Phillies have had a fair few spells this season where their bats turned stone cold. Halladay finished the season with 10 losses, a fair few of which I'm sure were 1-0 losses.

Giants' rotation is just as good as the Phillies. The only difference is that the Phillies have a LOT a recent playoff experience, whereas Giants have only played one series in the last 8 years.

This series has the potential to go right down to the wire.

I think the Yanks have too many hitters in their team to have any woes with the bat. If anything it's about controlling how many runs they leak. Should be one high scoring series and one low scoring series IMO.

phi bats are hot now, though. no reason to think they'll freeze overnight. we shall see Happy

every time i happened to watch cc he had a bad game, so despite what i said earlier i'm having a dabble on tex tonight Blush

No surprise to see the Yankees batters get CC out of a hole again. Also no surprise to see that this went over the total runs.

RE the Phillies vs Giants, no matter how good your batters are, it is always difficult to hit high class pitching. This series will be more about the battle of the bullpens than the starting pitchers IMO. Although Halladay pitches so many complete games that the Phillies might not even need their bullpen tonight.  Sad

Texas 1.03 I believe.

Amazing game in the end.

They only have themselves to blame, they had easy chances to go 4-0 up 3 times before they did.

Not had a bet on the Yankees onions, though judging by the way it's going overs would have been the call. [;)]

Hmm,  Phillies got a couple of nice connections on a couple of pitches, 2 caught right at the wall. Still, Timmy survives the inning, 0-0 after 1.

I've gone for a (very) optimistic over 7.5

I'd like San fran to win, but if they don't then losing 8-0 would be niceLaugh

Seems only a matter of time before a ball sails into the crowd off a Phillies bat. Already 4 caught at the track in only 2 inns.
