Can I trade draft picks?
DRAFT PICK TRADING
Custom League can make trades involving draft picks. These types of transactions can only take place prior to the Keeper deadline for Custom Leagues. Trades can be made involving exchanges of draft picks only, or trading some combination of player(s) and draft picks. It is important to note that you are trading for an owner's pick in a given round, and there is no assurance that the overall slot will remain the same.

EXAMPLE: You trade your first-round pick (2nd overall for Team A) for another owner's first-round pick (5th overall for Team B) and fifth-round pick (Team B) . Following processing of the trade, if the League Manager manipulates the initial draft order and Team B now has the 8th pick overall, that is the pick that you will end up receiving (not the 5th overall pick). It would then be your responsibility to discuss this matter with your League Manager.
If you trade and receive a net total of draft picks greater than the number of rounds in the draft then the draft will end and you will not acquire any players following the pick in which you complete your roster maximum.


EXAMPLE: You have 12 draft picks after trading and your draft is scheduled to run for 10 rounds. After 10 picks (no matter what round) your draft would end. You will be able to watch the draft process, but when it reaches your selection you will be skipped over and no players will be added to your team.

This reeks of danger, confusion and Zeeny getting the first 10 picks in the draft ... but I'll consider all views.

both me and z only meant to trade draft order not individual draft picks, it would be very simple.

If you are 1st in the draft order and Z gets 4th in the draft order Z can offer to swap? But what can he offer? Other than sexual favours I guess. Or is it just a straight swap because Z prefers to be 1st in the order and you prefer to be 4th?

doubt many, if any, would trade though. No one wants to be middle of the order!!

I guess if you are say 3rd and you see no difference between players 3, 4 and 5 on the board you may look to trade with 5th so that you move up 2 spots in the second round.

I bugger off with it all in a couple of month's time.

I am not sure what surprises me more, the word 'bugger' being allowed on Betfair, or the news that zeeny has apparently paid before me.

Hopefully, the prizes will go far enough down for interest to be sustained until September. That is what usually happens.

I've just set a date and time for the draft to get things under way - it can be moved, so thoughts on a draft date/time are welcome.

The only fair penalty is to reverse the order of the draft for the first round.

For my pick which is 16th I haven't decided yet between Kemp, Braun or Utley so if you all could refrain from picking those until I get my pick, that would be super!
