Hey I am interest in getting involved in this next season to help fill the void left by the NFL.
Only problem only watched a handfull of Baseball games before so will it be impossible to take part without watching a full season first and getting a grips on players and stats etc or is it something I will be able to pick up as I go along and maybe be kind of competitive with an autodraft?

I think we might have two divisions this year, depending upon numbers, and start a whole relegation/promotion thing.

Good good I would ask for draft advice incase I decide to try that as well but after seeing your football results this year not sure I want to follow it ;)

How about a fantasy league for people that want to get into the sport or for newbies to the game. May not be enough people intrested but would be fun, with no massive dissadvantage to us, that no nothing.

Surprised we won myself orioles tbh, but forest hitting a slight glitch last couple off games. Cant see newc not going up mate, let me know about the newb league and ill join.

Yeah, that's it, tease an old man until his nurse has to calm him down by hooking him up to the national grid.
Just to clarify:
1. The fantasy baseball sign up lists will go up at the end of this month.
2. Last year's league will be restarted with the same members - except for Ja, who tragically has no internet access.
3. There will be a newbies' league, if enough people want to have a go at fantasy baseball. Entry will be free.
4. Any or all of these plans may go wrong, not happen, or be altered, at any time and for any reason, but particularly if MTO doesn't stop sending me the 'specialist' videos he makes. 'The Bride and the Burro' .... I mean, WTF?!!
Finally, and I realise this is kind of taking the whole 'Uncle O' thing a bit far, but might I suggest that any fantasy leagues that are set up use me as banker from now on? I am used to collecting/distributing the prizes and, most crucially, do so in the same calendar year as the FREAKIN' COMPETITION ENDS!
Besides, I've been called a banker enough times on the forum :p

Newbie league can't be free surely, will beto easy to get bored of it and not stay involved all season got to be worth at least a cheeky £10 each!

As I have still not heard from the erstwhile Auction commish, I am going to assume that the 4th prize in that league was just a figment of my imagination.
My 'friend' Yawnef would like to join the newbie league, I can see that the competition is likely to be very stiff.

I'd play in the newb league but I'll have somewhat limited internet for the next 2 months. I suspect that would have some implications on signup and drafting but I'll try and have a sneaky look at the forum when I manage to stumble onto the world wide web!
