Guy is a great QB but he is being crowned too easy. Best pure passer Ive seen (even better than Marino) but that isnt all the position involves (see Montana and Brady)
That said as much as I dislike the guy I do think he will end up in the top 3 of all time before he retires as I think Peyton will play (unlike Brady) till his 40 and perform (unlike Marino) at the highest level till then.

No...just give the Saints credit for what they did, Brees and Manning both played well. It was just guts, bravery and determination to win that took the Saints over the line.

I did my ballacks on that game, but the Saints played the Colts the only way they could win.Kept Manning off the field for a huge amount of time.Manning no choker imo, just left with to much to do. Tip my hat to Saints(although I hate them)

lost heavily on the colts but fault not with manning. He does not get the protection others get and has to release quickly.in my mind he is the greatest quarter back ever.

Well what did Brady do this year???And Ace High you got almost every post season game wrong. Colts have this in the bag???Tbf if you followed your own tips you would have lost a fortune

While it's true that Manning gets rid of the ball very quickly, his O has offered him excellent protection too. Manning has been sacked just 10 times in 577 pass attempts this season. That's an amazing stat. It is one of the reasons he is the best QB playing at the moment.
People like me aren't that enamoured of the pass heavy modern game, but nonetheless, Manning is one of the greatest passers of the ball there's ever been imo and it certainly wasn't his loss on Sunday. For me, the momentum shifted when Garcon put that ball on the ground. In the NFL, momentum is all, and if you hand it to a defensive juggernaut like the Saints, you're in real trouble.

He is one of the best regular season QB' ever, ill give him that.
Redskins - Champions of the Offseason Manning - King of the Regular Season
9-9 in the playoffs. Numbers dont lie.He is one of the best regular season QB' ever, ill give him that.Redskins - Champions of the OffseasonManning - King of the Regular Season
colts would have still lost without the interception, they were 7 down by then. a touchdown and all that would have happened was the saints would have won it with a last second field goal.
colts lost on dropped passes; the massive drop by hank baskett on the onside kick; and the saints kicker making 3 field goals that could easily have been missed. nothing to with manning. just the drops by garcon and baskett were probably 21 point swings right there.

Wasn't it 7 4th Quarter come backs this season!!!! I don't think that's a sign of a choker? Manning is one of the top 3 QB's of all time and he will win at least one more Superbowl before his career is over.

question: would the colts have won if hank baskett had held onto the onside kick? imo definitely yes. would have been in a great field position to go up 11 points, instead within a few plays they were down by 3 points.

How do you know they would have been up 11? Let's not forget that after giving up 10 quick points the saints D only gave up a total of 7 the rest of the game.

Christ, how does one single interception on a night of 333 yards make Peyton a choker?
If he'd thrown 3 or more I'd understand but to throw just one hardly makes him a choker.
INTs are part and parcel of the game. Most QBs would gladly settle for 1 INT and 333 yards each game. Most teams would also win with those QB stats

This is a ridiculous thread.Manning is NOT a choker. The guy is a great clutch player and wins numerous games for the Colts. His 4th Quarter drives and 2-minute HT drills are phenomenal.
I would suspect the reason the Colts always lose in the play-offs is because throughout the regular season they will be playing prodominantly weaker teams which struggle to expose the Colts' weakness'. In the regular season Manning can paint over the cracks they have in the team. Once the Colts reach the play-offs there is no where to hide. They are now playing the best teams in the NFL and Manning can only hide so many cracks.
The fact they had the worst rushing attack in the league, but still got to the superbowl is a testament to how good Manning is!
How many Superbowl's did Marino win??? But he isn't regarded as a choker! The fact is you need a complete team to win a Superbowl, QB's can't do it all themselves. The Colts defense let them down, once Freeney was limited the game was over!
