Qtr Point Scoring

If someone is a lot of points behind late on instead of making simply 5 yard players they will try go 30-40 yards. Also they will win the ball less and get out of bounds slowing down the clock.

Odds normally lower for later 1/4's but tonight it could be any,looks to be a shoot out.

First quarter starts with a kickoff, second quarter could start with the ball at the 1, also has two minute warning and more timeouts used. Similar story for 3rd and 4th quarters. Prices are right.

the theory is theres more points in the 4th quarter cos the team behind will need to score fast. but quite often theres not that many points in the 4th because the team with the lead deliberately run the clock down.

2nd and 4th quarters in general should have more points than 1st and 3rd for several reasons.

1: play resumes from where it ended, so you could start the 2nd or 4th qtr with a team needing to go 1 yard for a touchdown instead of maybe 80 yards.

2: timeouts are usually saved for the 2nd and 4th quarters thus saving time to score.

3: theres more urgency to score at the end of the 2nd and 4th quarters, whereas theres no rush to score before the end of the 1st and 3rd quarter because play just resumes from where you are anyway.

4: teams usually start slow in the 1st and 3rd quarters for obvious reasons.
