I lived in the states for 2 years and still have family there. If you said 'Superbowl semi-final' you would get some funny looks. Believe me.

So what? The BBC sport site isn't aimed at US residents and surprisingly not everyone would know the relevance of NFL conference finals. On the other hand everyone knows the Superbowl is the final as it were. It's not exactly a travesty to mislabel it for a little more clarity is it?
