Assuming that the top four in the betting reach the divisional games how would everyone price up the teams?
My rough estimate is as follows:

2.5 Colts
3.5 Chargers
3.7 Saints
5.8 Vikings

Anyone got opinions...

cant see it ending up like that somehow.....
Report Ace High January 7, 2010 11:28 PM GMT
I reckon its pretty likely all four reach the divisional round.
Report Horangi. January 7, 2010 11:46 PM GMT
Unlikely all 4 get through. Especially the two on the NFC side.
Report Ace High January 7, 2010 11:59 PM GMT
I think its 100% guaranteed.
Report punkha1 January 8, 2010 12:07 AM GMT
Be amazed if all 4 get through.
Report debber1 January 8, 2010 12:09 AM GMT
Think you'll find Green Bay gatecrashing that fantasy thought
Report big-game-player January 8, 2010 12:12 AM GMT
lol i was just thinking different

colts and chargers for me from the afc

cardinals and eagles from the nfc...
Report debber1 January 8, 2010 12:14 AM GMT
agree with colts and chargers but I think dallas and green bay
Report davescrazy January 8, 2010 7:39 AM GMT
well i have a big lay of indi so im up for them just to f**k it up in anyway , doesnt matter how , just f**k it up
Report debber1 January 8, 2010 7:44 AM GMT
davescrazy -- I'd agree!

Think the Colts look the best number one seed for some years - Think they'll be making in-roads on that awful Superbowl record of 1 win in 10 years from a number one seed.
Report db1974 January 8, 2010 9:03 AM GMT
Ace High is correct

It is 100% probable that all 4 teams will play in the divisional round of matches.
Report coney January 8, 2010 11:27 AM GMT
it'll be cowboys v saints
Report mr milk January 8, 2010 12:10 PM GMT
BAL, SD, GB and DAL for me
Report honestcl January 8, 2010 12:31 PM GMT
Got to be the Jets in the mix. #1 defence counts for something as does the fact that the football Gods have written that they shall vanquish Bengals and Colts after those same two teams laid down for their benefit in Weeks 16 & 17.

When I asked this question yesterday, I asked respondents to assume that the four stated teams would reach the final four and to price them up! A dozen replies and no-one actually did it...
So I'll ask anyone, IF these four teams reach the final four, what would be their respective prices?
Report mr milk January 8, 2010 4:40 PM GMT
tough one as i think it depends on the manner in which they get there.
i would have NO a bit bigger than what you have them and SD closer to Indy
something like
IND 2.9
SD 3.25
NO 4.6
MIN 6

Your back book is 113%
I can promise you that Betfairs book want be like that

For Colts 4.1 now that makes them 1.60-1.65 to beat Bengals, Ravens or Jets at home if you have them at 2.50...

Colts 3.30
Saints 3.50
Chargers 3.90
Vikings 6.2
Report incaseof January 8, 2010 4:53 PM GMT
And exactly its not easy to guess! I only calculated what I atm guess the average price would be vs next opponent
Report cunnybobbler January 8, 2010 8:31 PM GMT
id be absolutely frickin amazed if the colts are above 1.4 to beat the bungles or jets.
Report d13phe January 8, 2010 8:34 PM GMT
i would be absolutely amazed if NO, Vikings, Colts and SD are the final four

i dont think these bye weeks do teams any favours
Report The Priest January 8, 2010 8:39 PM GMT
Patriots is spelt P.a.t.r.i.o.t.s and not Colts or Chargers

hths
Report cunnybobbler January 8, 2010 8:41 PM GMT
the current colts price is far too big. if they get to the last 4 theyll be around 2.6 so now they should be around 3.25
Report d13phe January 8, 2010 8:47 PM GMT
the best price going is the winning conference market

you can get around 1.75 for the winner to come from the AFC

AFC:

IND
SD
NE
BAL

NFC:

MIN
NO
ARI
PHILLY
DALLAS

Only one winner here imo

Yep, the bookies.
Report Monkee Tennis January 17, 2010 7:06 PM GMT
Incaseof, my hat is off to you -assuming that the chargers win tonight, you have called the prices for the final four spot on.
Next question is, if the Colts and the Saints were to reach the final, how would you price them up?
Report Ace High January 17, 2010 7:07 PM GMT
A monkey could price a four horse book up.

Infact, many do.
Report shaggykev January 17, 2010 7:09 PM GMT
ace high sounds seriously bitter
Report Monkee Tennis January 17, 2010 7:12 PM GMT
If it was so easy that a monkey could do it -why didn't you have a bash? You seemed to be able to post on the thread five times without addressing the matter!
