No, i wanted them to throw a pick 6 since im on Alabama but they should have kneel'd the ball yes, even if they get 10 yards theres no way the freshman QB throws a 60 yard hailmary, have you even been watching this game?

Any QB can throw a 60 yard pass.

Why is the In-Running line so low on the Totals?

Texas isn't moving the ball at all, a big zero for them in the second half is quite realistic. And Alabama will be running the ball on almost every down now just milking the clock.

For many years, the Super Bowl has had a very large television audience in the U.S., and it is often the most watched television program of the year. The game tends to have high Nielsen television ratings which usually come in around a 40 rating and 60 share (i.e., on average, 40 percent of all U.S. households, and 60 percent of all homes tuned into television during the game). This means that on average, 80 to 90 million Americans are tuned into the Super Bowl at any given moment. It is also estimated that 130-140 million tune into some part of the game

Let me rephrase. Any QB at a high level can hurl the ball down field 50-60 yards in a hail mary situation.

A QB playing for Texas is high level.

Lets forget your incorrect statement that every QB can throw a 60 yard pass and question how do you protect him from the best defensive line in the country while the 4 wide outs get downfield?

They can't even protect him for a 5 yard dump off.

I'm well aware of what a big deal it is. There's a reason though that advertisers spend in excess of ten times as much on Super Bowl advertising as BCS Championship advertising in the US only. The Super Bowl in the US is a little like the Grand National in the UK. People who don't give a cr*p still watch it. I suspect that that's not so true of the BCS title - although most sports fans do care.

You also have to remember that the superbowl is always shown sunday late afternoon rather than thursday evening.

the freshman QB is bound to make a couple more mistakes. I can see 2 TDs and a FG easily in the 2nd half.

Why do American companies pay so much for TV Advertising?? I don't know what they're like over there, but as a Brit, I can't stand having an ad break every 5 minutes - it just makes you turn over, so does anyone actually even watch the ads??

Let it go, clearly you know nothing about this game. And yes completing a HAIL MARY successfully is rare but the downside is little.

And the average NFL QB can throw the ball around 70 yards.

In your support, there are a good dozen college football teams with stadiums of 80k+ that sell out every game, even if it's against the like of Florida International or Temple.

re: the adds, usually watched these games along with the NBA, with a bunch of friends when I lived in the US.

Lots of snack / drink breaks and baiting. Somehow it worked out well.

Not so well, when watching in the quiet of your own home though - really just want the game to move along :)

i know that the wee pay about 1 million dollars plus.. well did in years gone by for an ad in the superbowl.. and they are always the best too :)

Is this the NFL then?

I'm giving you a rough guideline for how long a QB can throw the ball.

What evidence do you have to suggest a high level college QB can't throw the ball 60 yards? What?...none? Yes that's right because your facts are erroneous.

1/10 for -4 yards and 2 INT is a high level now?

That's exactly how they try to play it though debber. In the UK we all turn over because there're only 4 mins or so every half hour. In the States they have so many ads that if viewers turned over every time they'd get repetitive strain injury.
