I wonder if anyone's properly looked into the effects of just giving up 10 yard gaps on 1st/20 plays, teams always seem happy to give the 10 yards or so rather than risk a 20 yard completion, but I often wonder if they just played normally and restricted the opponents to a likely 2nd/15 if that wouldnt be much better.
