Be careful betting the games in the north east. A lot of bad weather around.
The city of Philadelphia has declared a state of emergency. The Redskins are bringing in 1,200 shovelers to get rid of an estimated 25 million pounds of snow. The Bears may not even make it to Baltimore in time to play Sunday. Most of the East Coast has had 1-2 feet of snow dumped on it in less than 24 hours.
However, when the ball gets in the air Sunday, the trusty weatherman says the games shouldnt be affected too much. It will be cold and a little slick, but it wont be snowing and the fields should be green.
1. Falcons at Jets: 30 degrees, 30 percent chance of snow showers, 15 mph winds.
The NFL didnt feel the need to push this game back. It was already a terrible matchup for most of the Falcons skill players and nothing changes. The Jets figure to go run-heavy even though the snow is expected to stop a few hours before 1 p.m.

Stupid question-sorry but what effect does this type of weather have on games? is it that a throwing team would run the ball more?
yes, bad weather generally results in lower scoring games as teams run more and lessens the skill gap between the teams. pittsburgh at cleveland last week was a good example
Good point, this current Pittsburgh side would never have gotten within 7 points of Cleveland in good weather. ;)
wind is the main underlying reason why points go under. rain & snow doesnt necessarily mean teams wont score tons. Secondary wont be able to keep with receivers in slippery conditions thus making the pass game a big factor. Take tennessee when they travelled to new england earlier this year... the over copped inside 20mins!! any winds over 20mph is what to look out for....
skill players can peform better in crap conditions than average players, doesn't always narrow the gap. The effects are more on attitude/ play calling although granted it does generally effect dome teams more.
it matters rather alot on what teams are actually playing, something people seem to forget.
