Na, my whole Village went down from 2am till about 11 am, no power meant no heating... bad times, but I had my Iphone for the score at least. I left up a back of Colts too, so was less than happy at first :D |

do you live in lancashire onions? i live in a small village in lancs..always having power cuts..luckily my house is on the sme grid as a bank..so they**it pronto ish...8 power cut last year,6 this year

Na live in Cambridgeshire, not had a power cut in years, but had a few Thursday night, took me hours to get my sky box working because of the snow, got it working about 12, then at 2 the power went off, I was gutted.
When I was in Nepal when we had a powercut it would only last a minute and yet in this first world country of England it lasted 9 fecking hours lol |

UK a country that comes to a halt after a few inches of snow and yet they never seem to expect it. Other countries manage just fine with a lot more snow.

and ours isnt also, we have bloody great unions and work force power itching for any excuse for a day off and bloody tight health and safety laws, where other countries dont |

Yep Gray, I said the same thing the other day. Planes, Trains etc all come to a stand still due to a few inches of snow and yet we have the technology for nearly everything, but can't handle snow

where i live in scotland, if people live within 20 mins regular walking distance they are expected in work no matter what the conditions, even though in 8 inch of snow that becomes and hours walk, london see snow and the city grinds to a halt, funny to us.

I was in Nepal during a Civil war GB, they really didn't care too much about the odd power-cut during the day, but still got it sorted :D

but in feb i was walking around london when it snowed (super bowl day if i remember) and couldnt stop laughing, everything was in disarray in about 2 cms snow :D

alfie bhoy - My work said we needed a backup plan incase of the snow, its comical. I live about 3 minute walk away so not an issue, but if I didn't nobody would have turned up......... because of snow.
