i used to work for coral onionss. I remember getting a phone call off a family friend who used to punt in another of the coral shops. It was 11.30 and apparantly i should of been in at 8.30. This would of been awful enough but the brand spanking new roullette machines were being delivered that morning and the shop was shut. Punters lined up around the block and 2 Seething enginers greeted me with a warm welcome when i finally got there about middday :-)

Yeah Mal, they tired paying me £26 once for working last xmas... I challenged it, threated legal action against my area manager and he bottled it and paid me it out the safe.
They are sneaky. I got offered work with betfair, but it means moving to malta.. which does interest me, but not right now |

Last Sunday i was sat there when some guy shouted (while waiting outside) that the clock said 11am (opening time) so i calmly stood up and moved the clock back 5 minutes :D |

i work for a indie now, been there a year, much better pay n dont get treated like a tw at !!! ive still got the spare keys to the shop n sometimes when i think about it i feel like going there n doing it, i suppose though it would be better to empty the safe , im sure my safe comm is the same , seeing as i set it and no1 new

haha yeah Duke. I don't mind the old boys, some of them are really nice people, and its great to see them win, but the normal 40 year old idiots who claim to know it all, tell the whole shop that this horse will win then bet £2 pish me off :D

Best thing about being in a betting shop is you can help some people...
Someone had £100 on a horse the other day called Our Kes.... was 6/1... He took the price, went off at 25/1 to one, so i voided his bet and put it on again at 25/1 for him....... shame it came nowhere :( |
