that came out on Nov 10th - 20 dvd box set 1943-2009.....

if you buy it off mlb.com is it in a dvd format that plays on UK players.

i don't buy videos dvd's or recorded music ever but might make an exception for this. am i dreaming it up that there are different formats of dvd that apply to uk/europe/usa?

region 2 is europe, region 1 usa mate. most dvd players are mutli region you just have to find a code online. if its region 0 i believe its multi format anyway,

thanks.
so if i can find it listed as region 0 anywhere i'm ok to play it on any old dvd player, yeah?

some stuff that says region 1 doesnt really have any region encryption or whatever its called. ive got about 30 region 1 (usa) dvds and half of them will play on any dvd player. may be a coincidence but the ones that ive got that do have region restrictions seem to be all movies, older tv stuff seems to be less likely to really be region restricted.

my hunch is that it probably wont really be region 1 only even if it says so. besides its easy enough to buy a cheap region-free dvd player or rip all the discs to pc/dvd/whatever with the region thingy removed.
