Even with my very limited American Football knowledge, I was getting excited early doors over my bet on them to win the Superbowl.

So, what's gone wrong? Did they not realistically have a chance anyway?

That New Orleans game has rocked confidence, they have lost a couple of close games against Arizona and San Diego. I backed them like you before the season and then laid off after the NO defeat. Look like they might struggle to make playoffs now. Can see them being 8-8 / 9-7 looking at the fixtures, this probably wont be good enough for the playoffs

Fallen Angel is correct. They`ve lost their confidence and losing last night in such bizare fashion will not help them. Beginning to feel sorry for themselves now, I think.

Their seconday is an absolute mess. The two safeties do not know what they are doing, they sit far too deep... they bye week comes at a good time but they badly miss kenny philips and aaron ross. may make playoffs..

I have to disagree with Fallen on one point- the Arizona game was hardly close, they were completely outplayed in that game - scoring off an Int and one complete fluke 60 yard pass that was batted to Nix when 99% of the time it would have ended up 4th down, they should never have even had a drive to tie the game and even then they never even got to the red zone before the pick.

Fair point about the confidence and momentum just disappearing on them though, interestingly they had a similar mid-season slump two years ago after starting impressively, and we all remember what happened at the end of that season. (Manning to Tyree on 4th and long remains my favourite sporting play ever)

Cheers chaps. So i've not done my money yet?

I also had a bet on the NE Patriots as well.

My personal is you still have a chance. They may well have to beat Dallas at home and potentially Philly away. Dallas may well have a 2 game division lead by the end of this weekend.

Fortunately NFC west looking a spent force wild card wise, personal view is Atlanta will take one wild card and the other will come from the NFC EAST/North battle. Coversely it may turn out that as an NY punter Dallas to beat GB on gets NY the wild card when all said and done.

Giants schedule looks tough, Atlanta huge game next week.

i think at 33's or above is tremendous value on the giants to be fair. all its going to take is a kick up the arse and theyl make the playoffs. and who knows what happens from there.

3 teams from the east will make the playoffs.
