Red Bull cheating may have to start from back of the grid

Vendetta against RB that began in Valencia with an unnecessary SC continues here obviously

F1 rules always are rubber-like

right to appeal would allow them to start from the qualifying positions anyway apparently

any penalty will probably take effect in the next race

So we're essentially betting on whether they appeal or not?!?  Are there any ramifications for a failed appeal?

they will appeal for sure,so grid will be the same as qualifying.

A few weeks back, i read a report in a spanish newspaper and heard a spanish F1 journalist on the radio state during a F1 discussion radio show that engineers at ferrari and other teams in the paddock still believed that red bull were still generating some blown diffuser effect on their car through engine mapping .

Ferrari placed people at all the low and medium speed corners during free practice at various grand prixs and listened and they were convinced that they could still hear a faint "blowing" noise coming from the exhaust off throttle, a sure sign that the engine was still blowing some gases off throttle to the rear of the car.

The radio show was COPE GP on the Cope radio station.

And if the original decision does indeed stand, there's no way any retrospective punishment could be applied to today's result?

They wont allow them on the podium apparently, if they race under appeal, so the rules get very messy here. It's settled on podium presentation, not first past the post.

whatever the result at the podium presentation will stand for betting purposes so it doesnt matter if there on the podium or not.
