I'd recommend trying Firefox 3.

Google's Chrome and/or Apple's Safari are the fastest browsers around really, - whether or not Betfair officially supports them I'm not sure, - if adventurous you could give them a go too.

(I run Safari 4)

EG: search google for safari VS ie speed and you get results such as:

"Safari 4 benchmarked: 42x faster than IE 7, 3.5x faster than Firefox 3".

I think Google Chrome uses the same rendering source code that Opera has been using for a while, so Opera should be considered for fast day to day browsing also.

I sent my PC off to get a couple of things fixed. Whilst they were working on it the kindly "upgraded" it from IE7 to IE8. Never had any problems with IE7. IE8 seemed to continually freeze. Gone over to firefox now. Had no problems.

Opera is by far the best browser for any site coded to ISO standards.

Unfortunately, Betfair is still in the dark ages and coded to rapidly declining IE protocols.

As such, Firefox is the best option, as it deals with stuff written for IE better than Opera.

IE isn't even an option, it's so crashy and bug-ridden.
