Well unfortunately the best Sanjuro could do was 3rd so not the best of starts for me.
Today i really do expect to get my first win on this blog.
2.50 Sedgefield Quinsman
Despite a double penalty, this novice hurdle provides Caroline Baileys runner with a good opportunity to complete a hat-trick of wins. The six-year-old gelding won very easily last time and personally i think this is an easier task. His main opposition consists of It's A Steal who was last seen winning a point to point back in November of last year, whilst Hi George also returns from a break after having his limited ability exposed in a class 3 hurdle at Aintree.
At around 9/4 i reckon Quinsman is a cracking bet and i will be very disappointed if he doesn't collect.

Well a very disappointing start yesterday with Fantastic Moon hampered at a vital stage of the race. Having said that i'm not sure he would have won anyway.

So onwards and upwards so they say.

Epsom 2.15 Sanjuro

I liked the way this one won its maiden last time beating Estifzaaz by 1/2 length and a further 4l back to the third. I dont think his mark of 83 is too harsh and i would expect Mick Channons runner to go very close here. Around 7/2 looks a fair bet to me

Today i am attempting to start a Blog which i have never done before so it could look a bit messy. I am going to concentrate on just one race a day and it will be the first race at one of the days meetings. So here i go with post number one.

Fantastic Moon:

I was very impressed with this ones last run when getting up close home to beat Tha'ir by a head. I dont think the race was really run to suit Jeremy Noseda's horse but he showed a great attitude when asked for his effort. From the gallop reports i have read, the horse has since been working very well at at the time of posting, 3/1 is available which looks good value to me.
