IHRB in disarray

Good. Worse than RTE.

Very Similar to RTE - People of limited ability getting paid loads and full of their own self importance

The Seanad committee meeting to discuss the IHRB problems opened and closed within minutes on 13th July, then they went on their summer holidays.
The politicians will be back from their holidays on 20th September, so the IHRB should have had plenty of time to figure things out / make their escape / hide the evidence.

If we keep quiet perhaps everyone will forget about it.

Every Government department is the same: the Gardai now say if a member turns up for works, spends the 7 or 8 hours at his/her desk doing the bare minimum they cannot be challenged out of fear of being reported over trivial matters. Every complaint is treated as a major incident, takes years to resolve and the "good" Garda gets punished for trying to do the job well. In other words, what's new?

Almost a year of silence since this "bombshell" in June 2023.
With a bit of luck the Dail will break for their summer holidays and we will get to 2025.
Steady as she goes.  Don't rock the boat, mateys.

It is fecking unbelievable isn't it.

When they broke last year for the summer it looked close to getting answers,

Then nothing and as you say a year later not a mention since.

There was a major financial anomaly yet absolutely nothing disclosed to anyone since.

Until all these bodies are held to account and financial aid withheld they'll continue to stonewall and obstruct any enquiries.

Led in his winner, Hollie talking about the riding instructions he gave her , the owners singing his name and saying future plans are up to him and finally his sister the name on the licence saying she has no involvement.

It's an absolute joke and makes a laughing stock of the IHRB , it's disciplinary panel and it's officers.

Irish racing is fast becoming the wild west of the racing world issue after issue just  swept under the carpet.

Is see Tony has had his "suspension" increased by two months for his English excursion.

That will hardly make much difference to him but they did fine him another € 5K which I'd say will hurt.

I've said it before but I really believe irish racing governance needs to get its house in order .

From the possible make up of the next government to the increasing anti cruelty/racing sentiment building up and the pressures that will put on sponsorship Ireland needs to be strict and squeaky clean to promote it's image.

There have been too many incidents in the past few years that have been dealt with too leniently to neither be a deterrent or show the public they are serious about animal welfare or adhering to the rules of racing.
