Superstar mare Enable will race on as a six-year-old in 2020, her connections revealed on Tuesday.
Trained by John Gosden for Khalid Abdullah, Enable, who won the Oaks in 2017 and also has a brace of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes on her CV, was last seen finishing second when bidding for an unprecedented third Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe this month.
"She has come out of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in good form and will not race again this year," said Abdullah's long-serving racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe.
"Her racing programme will be determined entirely by her wellbeing, so no racing plans will be announced at this stage. The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe remains an important target."
Gosden was understandably thrilled with the decision and added: "She's been in good order since the Arc and it's wonderful for her to be racing next year. It is a typically sporting and positive decision from Prince Khalid."

Tbh I'm not sure how I feel about that Frank.
Despite the arc defeat she went down gamely just finding one too good in Europe's best race.
I'd hate to see her struggle next year.

Absolutely thrilled that Enable will stay in training in 2020. It makes so much sense for all involved, but the biggest winner is horse racing. Imagine she makes it back to Longchamp to try to regain her crown and become the first three-time winner of the race??
