I have changed my mind totally. I was going to destroy my voting card but now I've changed my mind I'm voting for Peter Casey 100%. What he said was exactly what a lot of people are thinking in this country.

As the OP said I also was not going to vote but will now be voting for Casey.

Somebody with the balls to say it as it is, would prefer if he went further still and really called them out for what they are.

He's dead right, I think this really could earn him a ton of votes. Certainly earned mine. Traveler absolutely not a race, only time you know they're a traveler is if they say they're a traveler or are engaging in a criminal or borderline criminal activity.

Not interested in politics or elections to be honest , but just happened to turn on Pat Kenny and the six candidates, and to be honest I’m finding it very interesting. I wasn’t going to vote and I still probably won’t , because it looks a foregone conclusion that the umpa lumpa will be re elected, but if you travelled the country it would be difficult to find a more obnoxious arrogant cunnt than Sean Gallagher. This is the biggest prikk I have ever listened to in ages , and the guy Casey was right, the other 5 were being disingenuous when they said they wouldn’t mind if a lash of minks moved in alongside them . Kenny is very good in his role i must say.

Gallagher's opening gambit was akin to a screen test for Game of Thrones , everything rehearsed and staged , typical b ullshit from the ff bagman.

Leo and fine gael castigating Mr Casey, they have some cheek, whether twas Tipp council or gov funds they are now 6 houses vacant, why was there no consultation beforehand? why built them if they weren't going to move in?
The question to ask is whose idea was this in this day and age where people are paying through the nose for even a single room or worse homeless.

Peter Casey should be lauded for bringing this to public attention, the reality is a very concentrated media campaign against him.

Empty homes costing €1.5m+ in Tipp is symptomatic of what we are facing in years to come. Renovating, yes renovating, corpo flats in Dublin is costing €500,000 a unit if press reports are accurate. People refuse "free" homes for the flimsiest of reasons so the current shortage of housing will be eventually solved by the taxpayer picking up the tab for over-sized and over-priced homes for as, Leo, might wish to say, those who demand everything and pay for nothing. We have lost the ability to impose solutions thanks to a system that is so full of hypocrisy it only gets an airing when a non-entity like Casey decides to ruffle a few feathers.

Casey is hardly a non entity , maybe you are a high achiever in life , and consider him one , but to me and most mere mortals , he’s certainly no non entity. He’s obviously a very clever individual, although maybe not the most articulate, he at least speaks his mind , and says some stuff that many think , but are too afraid to say.
I like him , and in my eyes , anyone who slags the minks is absolutely fine by me.

"it only gets an airing when a non entity like Casey decides to ruffle a few feathers" 10.22

Isn't it exactly what is needed? A pure whistleblowing campaign and people held accountable for shambles like the above?
Too long all hushed up and the oh so true phrase of not "what you know but who" again applied in this country.

As an aside terrible ill timed comments regarding Irelands borders and the possibilty of the re emergence of voilence yesterday, with trying to instill fear in people with his comments he still had time to castigate Peter "Wildmanfromborneo" Casey for speaking out, the correct answer was for Leo to investigate where and who spent the taxpayers money in Tipp.

Varadkar like nearly all politicians is a ponce , always circumnavigating sticky questions , and juggling figures and percentages to suit there own agendas. It doesn’t matter what fianna they are , or labour , shinners, whatever they are , they are all yokes . What this country needs is a dictatorship, to stamp down on top of all these knobbend politicians and do gooders , and sort out the country properly.

Jeez Pa, 75% is remarkable, maybe the 500/1 on the nose was the bet, especially the way the Leprechaun seems to be painting himself into a corner.Devil

With the poll lead last week the only way you'd have done the 500/1 was backing he'd have a banger or something in the meantime.
He is getting shown up big time though, and that isn't any harm,i've never been gone on him but more so lately.
