Smullen set a personal record in terms of the number of winners and prize-money as he is crowned Champion Jockey for the ninth time. Smullen ended the term on the 115-winner mark and amassed over €3.5 million in prize-money, helped in no small part by the success of Harzand in the Duty Free Irish Derby. He also enjoyed notable victories with Fascinating Rock, Shamreen and Zhukova. For the second successive year, Smullen beat Colin Keane, who rode 77 winners, into second place in the title race with Seamus Heffernan (57) in third place.

Is there a track bias in Dundalk? All the winners tonight seem to come middle/wide. Far side doesnt seem the place to be even though theres a cut away.

I'd say overall there is Joe,some meetings last season i thought it was very pronounced.
I know with tomorrows racing it is sacrilege to mention a 45 rated horse but the more i looked at Auntie Audreys(5.05 Cork) Gowran run the more i scratch my head, i came down on the side of absolutely clueless but could easily be 70 rated, a funny one.

Didn't spot this thread, was actually at the track for once. First time I'd been, decent enough place actually, not as dead as people say it is. It's probably good for anyone reading this thread that I didn't put up my selections.

Was in a shop and backed it,for twopence, rarely bet in Ireland but it seemed a fair price and ready to go.
Just noticed the pick here, a good one too.
I could have had a bit more on then.

"This is Colin Keane's night, this is Colin Keane's year, he's gone ten clear and that's the championship," - Des Scahill after his treble tonight.
Keane (now on 97) was victorious on Overcoming 4/1 for his boss Ger Lyons, and Bid Adieu 12/1 for Tom Cooper, and completed the hat-trick aboard Tom McCourt's Ben Rumson 2/1 in the concluding handicap race. No bets btw.
