desert skyline 9/1 w hills time to study 9/1 w hills mucho applause 8/1 paddy power / sportsbook ( pedigree is a big worry) this could be the one punters go for??, only rated 85
this race has been one by some very good horses last 10 years, al kazeem/ cannock chase/ time test all multiple group winners.
desert skyline only had the 3 runs, has won twice, an easy winner at 9f soft newmarket, won on same day as cracksman, carrying 2lbs extra, that race was 1.44 slower than craksmans race over 8f, dam was rated 113 best rpr. the trainer has a good record with 3yos on turf 16% 88.75 profit.
time to study only had the 3 runs, has won twice, an easy winner at 10f class 3 chelmsford, has a stamina laden pedigree by motivator and dam was rated 104 best rpr the trainer has good record with 3yos 15% and 4 million in prize money. he runs a few here so im hoping this one has the best chance, profile wise.
mucho applause just beaten a head lto over 8f soft class 2, recieving 5 lbs from the unbeaten frankel colt atty persse, only had the 4 runs, now steps upto 10f only worry is its sire acclamation doesnt get many winners at 10/11f, trainer is 15% with 3yos on turf and 2 million in prize money.
desert skyline 0.40 win 9/1 time to study 0.40 win 9/1 mucho applause 0.20 win 8/1
goodluck ( there is lot of unexposed types in the race, just hope this method works for this race)
Mmm.. Your taking 3/1 best outcome antipost , 4/5 second best on what will probably be a big field.
I havent really looked at the race but i suspect there will be a good few improvers being 3 stepping up to 10 furlongs for the first time.
Each to their own but id prefer to narrow it down to one selection at your prices and have a stab at a decent return.
I think there would be better 3/1s out there tbh.

Distance no problem, Ground no problem, Should still be improving Draw probably just ok 5th last time off same mark when coles were needing the run All Coles that ran around the same time as this last time improved a lot next time. He has had a winner today Fits in with the ratings and weight trends for the race in general.
Right my pin has come down on Count Calabash.Distance no problem,Ground no problem,Should still be improvingDraw probably just ok5th last time off same mark when coles were needing the runAll Coles that ran around the same time as this last time impr
Count Calabash ran a muddling race. He held every chance two out but didn't puck up.
The change of tactics might have been a factor as he stayed on rather than picking up so maybe he really does need to lead.
There were a few front runners in the race so maybe they thought they would cut each others throats and decided to sit back .
In the end the fav was given an easy lead and allowed to dictate the pace.
That Defoe was able to come out of the pack and win convincingly in the conditions under such circumstances gives to the feeling he would be best kept onside for a while.
