The great man was also one of the very few who tipped up LABAIK yesterday. That's one of the most inspired selections I've seen on the Horse Racing Forum.

I have him to thank for the 16/1, he is taking me by the hand and leading me through Cheltenham 2017.

What an impressive horse she is though, as it worked out the quick pace did help, but if she got away well she could also have sauntered home, the ground was the question mark and she handled it well,i think it was a poorish cham bumper though.

Probably negotiating to buy more land as we speak! Say he did really well out of this one as history suggests he is an all-in punter when he has a strong opinion about a horse. Well done, Wildman.

Thanks Inside,
I was afraid of the ground Foyleswar to go to town and the Mags Mullins horse at Sandown Sat didn't frank her form though excuses in the sense they(WPM runner) took each other on,still nice winner on a difficult festival so happy out.
Hopefully the few posters that rated her highly earlier in the thread backed her as well.
As You Were is another to watch out for, even though the Judgement Day formline is taking some knocking.

Well done all for the winners the last few days. Didnt follow any of the great advice. In fact done me balls (and wont have been the only one). Love it when i see someones opinions proved right though. Fayonagh was never one for me but what a machine. Would have won be god knows how much bar the start **** up. Keep up the good work !!

Credit to Jamie Codd for not trying to make up the ground too quickly which worked out well for him, breathtaking performance Cool (think the runner up is useful also).

No harm lads, I'm glad to see the flat coming. Don't really think it was a vintage NH season altough Leopardstown's Hennessey meeting and Cheltenham were thoroughly enjoyable.

Can see January and February becoming even more of a wasteland in the UK with very little shown terrestrially between January and April most weekends. Think they will look back on the ITV deal as the catalyst for a really bad period in racing over there.

would have a lot of sympathy for club GAA players, but there is no way that the hierarchy should give up September the way racing in England have effectively given up January and February.

Injuries have fairly ravaged the season, hopefully we get Sizing John verses Yorkhill in the Lexus. RTE should push that big time. End of the season should be good with the chase for the trainers' title.

Think the wildman, who is very prescient these days! said something about going dog racing being a habit, think for a lot of people, watching racing on a Saturday at 2 o'clock is like that as well. I think viewing figures for the good Newbury Saturday card in February probably will have suffered because people won't have watched the previous week, nor will they have had the chance to have it promoted to them that week.

mincer

I'd say if fayonagh ran in the Cheltenham bumper it would get beat by about 2 furlongs, possibly more. Jamie Codd is on a different planet to every other amateur riding right now

What planet are you on mincer?

Another of his other famous comments is the p2p meeting at Tinahealy never gets a good horse running there, one of last months winners made £240,000 at the Cheltenham sale. A real sharp mind is our Mince Laugh.

Yes Cloone it was a good insight into how luck can go against you in racing, as in any walk of life.I wouldn't be feeling too sorry for him though, looks to me as if he's had a right few touch's breeding wise.

wildmanfromborneo • February 6, 2017 1:55 PM GMT .....mares listed race...all trying for their life...seven individual winners in the field...two dual bumper winner...fav an unbeaten Limerick bumper winner trained by Willie Mullins that was backed to 4/11 on debut...The mare that finished second Sassy Diva is a right mare also, they have always aimed high with her, she too is by Kalanisi in will have no problem winning her bumper.

Skyrne gallops are owned by Colin Magnier son of Clem. Good Amateur in his day, finished 2nd in the 83 National on Greasepaint.

There was a good 2 mile chaser years ago called Skyrne trained by Waring Willis, I think his stables were in Skyrne.
