BWS are you missing my point by choice ?.To win the Ebor was wonderful for him ,if he had run on his merit over the last couple of months I doubt very much he'd have won . In fact he'd have been top weight and down the field,so yes fair dues to him, I'm sure those punters who've done their dough the past couple of months will join in your congrats to the master...

Martin is a brilliant trainer. O'Leary has made a mistake letting him go, easily rectified, though.

He's an artist of a trainer. On the other hand, you see idiots(I don't care what he's qualified in!) like Mark Johnston in the UK with about 4OO horses;

I guess he's not such an idiot, at least he found a bigger one!

He was 16 of 17 in the Chester Cup off 103, same 103 he ran off today. He wasn't dropped.

They blew the mark of 88 when he pissed up at Cork in March. He'd have known he needed a very high mark to get into the Ebor, though.

Even when he's stroking, I still think the likes of he and Byrnes have something about them. They're easier to work around because you get the sense they know what they are doing.

The way he produced Quick Jack for today and especially The Galway hurdle last season (pulling double at the bottom of the hill), was a thing of beauty as well. Can't deny the guy has talent.

The Green and Gold with the bad trainers are much worse.

As for Chester FFS every horse is allowed a poor run.

Gant he never ran on flat in Ireland before he ran in Galway last year hence he was handicaped on French form.

Martin is far easier to read than Scum Mcmanus.  What a cert Heartbreak was in Galway  How they chalked up 7/2+ is beyond me.

Just realised he was 20/1 when he won 12 lengths at Cork with Heffernan. That is remarkable.

Needs locking up. Total and utter abuse of the game since day one. If all trainers acted like this thing, the only straight races would be the ones worth 100k and more.

poor auld wonks anyone following this horse this summer or in last 2 months wouldnt agree

I'm amazed that some people cant see the connection with the other thread on here "The collapse of betting on Irish racecourses". Irish horse racing heading same route as greyhound racing. Can anyone give me one good reason why Irish racing should be funded by the tax payer. Dont tell me its because its wonderful and gives employment. If its so wonderful why should it be susidized.
