Today is the Tipperary course's big day with some cracking racing IMO! The wife is heading out so I have the afternoon to enjoy some decent racing alone on the sofa
3.10 Jembatt - slightly less impressive than his rival Romantic at Bellewstown last week but still on a for 4 in a row and has won over CD not so long ago. 3.45 Lyin Eyes - I think he is better than the bare form, dropped back in trip, going to have a crack e/w 4.55 Not exactly a surprise selection but Willie Mullins! Cant separate Sempre Medici or Ivan Grozny, please help.....
Any Comments; feedback or other selections from you resident Irish racing experts very welcome please.
Also...Great to see Robbie McNamara pick up a couple of winners at Cork last night, bright start to his training career!
I favour sempre medici over the form ivan grozny parkexpress, if he ran to the form that he did last winter he should win even giving 9lbs to his rivals.
I also fancy a couple more on the card in the shape of cappadocia and hurricane twister.
Cappadocia has done the same as a lot of horses that have transfered to the Feane yard and improve massively. Was stuck behind a wall of horses last time and stayed on well suggesting extra furlong won't be a problem. Rated in the 70's in his younger days so plenty of fun to be had with this horse I'd say.
Hurricane Twister loves soft ground and will get that today for the first time in a while. His mark has fallen while running on softer ground and should give a good account today running from the front.

Catchmeifyoucan...as a born a bred Northside Dub I am proud to say yes I have been to the Phoenix Park race course a fair few times, backed Park Express there to win the Irish St Ledger in 1986 as a young lad! (the bookies have steadily taken revenge on me for that win over the last 20 years)

A few 'pieball' horses roaming around the place but that's about it as far as I know!
There was lots of trainers around the area back then, it was essentially a rural area and lots of the trainers would train on the Phoenix Park course as far as I know - the area has been described as a 'mini Newmarket' back then.. unfortunately most of it is a concrete jungle now!
