Shocked to hear the sad news today , had not heard he was unwell but had not seen him at the races of late come to think of it. An absolute gentleman , genuine , decent always up for a bit of craic of the Dubs Kerry variety especially and he wouldn't think twice about throwing ice cream money in the direction of your kids if he met you and you were with them at the races. Did a great job of rearing his family after his wife died young .

A true Kerryman and one of the great characters of Irish racing. The Listowel Racing photographer, who fought cancer for four and a half years, will be greatly missed. Condolences to Pat and all the family. Rest in Peace.
