I have backed Matsuyama for this weeks Memorial(in addition to a couple of others whom I wont waste my time typing as its clearly not allowed). But where I think it's worth having a really good go at the Japanese sensation is in the US Open in two weeks time.

Although Augusta suits Hideki and I believe he will be victorious there soon, I don't think there will ever be a Major venue made to fit this lad more. Its an absolute brute. Thrashers off the tee may stay at home, unless they have a monsoon in the lead up to it. The rough just wont be playable. Accurate driving, followed by accurate long irons will be the key. Matsuyamas slight weak link in the putting department will not be a huge issue here, getting it on the dancefloor in regulation will be the key to winning here.

Given his unerring comsistency in big events of late, I cannot see him not being involved. He folded on Sunday in Augusta, but he will win one soon, and this could very well be it.

33-1 e.w is a cracking bet.

It's a parting shot, because this will be my last post on this forum. That this post wont last until morning would be one of the reasons.

I see little point in wasting my time putting up my opinion, for some sad git to be waiting by his laptop to hit the report button. The Gobshees life must indeed be a sad one, to get a kick from that.

Wildman put up a thread stating his opposition to Minding in the Guineas. He was correct. The thread descended into a tit for tat over whether he placed an alleged bet. Its no offers that he placed the exact bet he stated, and any price you want that he didn't. Why would he bother putting up another opinion or bet??

Rocket has put up a thread on the Euros. It's 1.01 that it descends into childish prattle before a ball is kicked. Any insightful opinions from Padlock or Ozy or the likes will be lost in the sh1te.

Huddys(probably the most impartial, non confrontational individual on here) puts up his golf bets each week. Barely up this week, they are gone in a flash. Is there an explanation for this?? As said before SundogMonkey does exactly the same each week on the main forum. No censorship there it appears. Whats the point??

Yet Poorpup(if Carlsberg did Idiots....) puts up what must be the most ridiculous, useless and pointless thread of all time, and it remains there months on. In some sort od snipe at Snap, he posts Rab Havlins winners, in the belief that Snap is blindly laying each one. He doesn't understand the irony that there has been months between drinks at times, and that his results would be Snaps book of evidence. What a complete fool. But let's leave this thread up. Why???

There are some decent sorts on here. It's alleged I have some sort of ongoing spat  with WR. I don't think so, I just disagree with him a lot!! But at least he can understand my arguments.

Pa I have no doubt is a decent sort, as is WMFB. Padlock, Apple, Kavvie, OLC, Tony, among plenty of others are oters who come across very well of the people I have never met. Huddys I have met, and again a gent.

I met Ozy at a 'Virtual Luncheon' and would imagine most on here would be surprised by what they found if they too met him. It was always obvious from his posts that he was of high intellect, but added to that I can say he is a thoroughly likeable sort, who contrary to popular folklore is... a lot younger than many would guess, has a deep rooted knowledge of racing particularly Irish scene, an excellent way with the ladies, a successful business man, and a gentleman to boot.

We discussed the idea of arranging a meeting of prominent forum members at Galway '17. To have bout 20 forumites in a room, and see could we put names on everyone. Would be an interesting day I feel. I will check in then if that was to go ahead.

Speaking of Galway, and the decent sorts on here...I do be privy to excellent information that week(I'm sure a couple on here can vouch for its accuracy), and if anyone would like me to forward it on that week, send me a PM , and I will do so.

Dec used always ask me why I bothered posting on here, and I argued to the contrary. He has indeed been prove right again, though I am happy to gained a few contacts, whom I will obviously keep in touch with.

That's all from me, which will please a few, and the Betfair moderator who can take a few extra days off.

Goodluck.

As Kavvie said another great punter and decent bloke gone from the forum, your input will be sadly missed,

Don't burn your bridges Callit.
I understand the frustration of your threads getting taken down and also getting "attacked" by a few, every single one of us got that on here.
In a nutshell we are all punters, some absolute brilliant ones have been on here and i've been in awe of a fair few with regards in particular their knowledge of the Irish racing scene/sport.
Very quiet alright,a lot of views but no talking which is a pity.

I've long been an admirer of Callitasucit,I've no idea why the Golf posts are under attack.

It can't be the moderator as they are just standard selections so it has to be one of those who has perfected a way to delete posts and threads.
Whoever it is should be ashamed of themselves.

Kavvie can attest to the fact that when he asked Callitasucit for a golf tip he gave him a 50/1 winner.

Callitasucit last contribution on the golf was fairly typical.
He recommended a lay of four of the challengers in Wentworth ( all beaten ) he followed this with this line.
" can see it develop into an English battle between Willet and Wood "
Chris Wood won it.

On second thoughts it might have been Tony57 who got the big priced winner.

doubt your posts are getting pulled because of other betfair users, must come from betfair themselves
Report lewisham ranger June 2, 2016 10:55 AM BST
agree with matsuyama for us open
Report lewisham ranger June 2, 2016 11:02 AM BST
only concern for me is has he got the cajones to get it done, his performance at the players on the sat screamed us open, but then was disappointing on the sunday. also has a huge following from japan, reminds me of ding in the snooker, where you are carrying the weight of expectation of a nation on your back.
Report kavvie June 2, 2016 1:43 PM BST
lewisham i have debated this with a few people ..thers nothing even remotely controversial in his posts..  just  usual tip stuff..i think blah blah because he played well here last year and is coming into form..no insults, comments about family members etc etc..its puzzling..and even if it was another user are the posts not looked at and decided upon?
Report firstimevisor June 2, 2016 1:51 PM BST
i would say the reason threads are being pulled is because golfers are being referenced at bookmaker prices ( each way) rather than the betfair win market. Betfair don't like it when their forum is advertising their competition
Report lewisham ranger June 2, 2016 2:30 PM BST
I think it's the way he presents his posts that are the problem

If he just goes "I fancy hideki this week" I don't think there would be a problem

Because it looks more professional than that Betfair possibly don't want to be accused of running an unadvertised tipping service on the forum

Although as you say could be something to do with not wanting to advertise other bookmaker prices

Either way I would be very surprised if they are taking them down purely because someone is constantly complaining about it. It's clear it's on their initiative.

Justin Thomas going along nicely at the memorial.

Is there any way we could get callitafterucit to change his mind?
I think this is a bit of a wind up, I'd say callit and his master, Declan (jacuzzi pro punter) are having a good laugh in the Aftertimers Arms.
Report tony57 June 2, 2016 7:32 PM BST
firstly let me say i understand callits frustration..i have the same problem on the politics threads..if i post its deleted(wildman can vouch for me)when you spend a few minutes putting something together or longer to then see it deleted by a childish idiot who does not have a brain is very frustrating and hurtful..
ive got no axe to grind were callit is concerned hes a decent poster who knows his stuff..indeed he gave me a 50/1 winner in the golf..(i dont know the golf punting scene)he is also a decent punter on the horses..
i hope he will return...he should contact betfair and complain that he is being victimised by someone who is reporting his posts..the problem is i know the mods do not check ..if a post is reported its deleted..but he must complain..
Report pa lapsy June 2, 2016 10:42 PM BST
Kavvie i know you meant nothing by it and are sticking up for him but you should get that post taken down.

Cheers.

Hideki posted 74,73 in his third appearance and missed the cut by five strokes (the lowest cut in tournament history btw) - didn't inspire any confidence going into a US Open - all Matsuyama's done in eight rounds at Jack's Place is break par in every round 70-67-69-69-64-71-71-70 and post his maiden PGA TOUR title playoff win in 2014 (his 26th career start at the age 22 years, 3 months, 7 days, supplanting Tiger Woods as the event’s youngest champion) and a T5 in 2015. He also has six wins on Japan Golf Tour with one as an amateur in 2011.
Hope it's only a minor blip in an otherwise good recent run as he’s also gone T6-T18-T7-T11-T7 since Bay Hill in his last 5 starts after returning from a recent right hip flexor injury at the Honda Classic.
The previous time he missed the cut this season was at the Farmers Insurance (for two years in-a-row btw) posting 68 while playing the North Course at Torrey Pines but then added 76 on the difficult South Course. However, the following week my fav **** immediately returned to the winner's circle with a win at the Waste Management at TPC Scottsdale. Matsuyama eliminated Rickie Fowler with par on the fourth hole of sudden death to win the Phoenix Open in his third appearance, and notched his second PGA TOUR title in his 60th start as a pro.
OWGR #15 Matsuyama's best Major finish of his career is solo fifth in 2015 on rounds of 71-70-70-66 having missed the cut in 2014 in his first crack as a pro. The 24-year-old Japanese phenom was low amateur in his 2011 Masters debut and also made the cut as an amateur in 2012, finishing T54. (Hope Dec is proved wrong btw as I have argued to the contrary since Sept 2003 - over 10,000 post later). Devil

I'll miss Callit's tales of cruising around Navan in the van with Snap placing 5k e/w cash on golfers at 20/1 in a Laddie's shop.

Oh, and let's not forget lumping the entire winnings on Brighton to win a midweek league game. Laugh
