That rapacious looking lawyer hit the jackpot.
The HSE are like an injured Wildebeast crossing the African Veldt,they are unable to defend themselves.
The no defence allowed policy has worked in favour of the legal profession,you now have no work to do submit the claim and rack up legal fees.
Compensation seekers are selfish and unpatriotic,its not a victimless crime because its the honest folk of the country who end up paying for it.
Its also affecting the medical profession,misfortune is now compensatable,doctors have to apologise when they have done nothing wrong.
Sometimes babies die,sometimes people die,its not always someone's fault.

No mention of how much he settled for. Given its taxpayers money, the public have every right to know.
Spineless politicians not willing to stand against it. Judges should have no right to guess at compensations. It should be Jail or nothing (Presuming something illegal has happened). Accidents are not illegal.

Judge was not happy with the amount so decided to dish out 35k more in tax payers cash.....
Serious questions should be raised over this. If the issue is settled out of court, The judge has no right to add on anything or even look at the case.
