Anyone pricing this up? Wildman? |
By:
In fairness pricing events would not be my strongpoint.

I'd say you're odds on Slick..
By:
its alrite snap,if i ever take a notion to start backing odds on chances ill be able to pick a few out without your assistance.

Hard to price up,
Slickster has shown glimpses of form, but overall comes in as a dark horse. Workrider seems to acknowledge that he is out of form by a slight note of pessimism in giving the fav mantle to Slick, had a good run a few weeks ago with good priced winners, can be relied upon to hold a cool head though. 8/11 Slickster,11/10 Workrider. One certainty is both will be gents with this and hope the two of ye have a few winners, best of luck. |
By:
Thanks Pa, shrewd pricing, think I might have some of that 8/11 off you.
By:
Ah come now on now Workrider, not like you at all, rumours are flying that 1st reserve Peter O'Hehir is champing at the bit.

Right here we go, going to start with a English tip. Silvianico Conti Ascot is the first of my Naps, this most consistant of horses needs to prove himself again after his K.G.run. Nicholls horses starting to pick up again after their flu jabs .
Conti has been a really kind horse to me over the years and still has that bit of class about him, with Noel aboard hopefully he can return to winning ways. I think this shorter trip will suit and with stats like this around Ascot you'd have to be confident that if back to his best he'll be too classy for these... C/D 50% runs to wins. Similar Going 52.63% runs to win . Good Luck Slick. |
By:
Cheers pa, should be a laugh. O'Hehir would not be welcome in a competition of this stature. "Napping" 1-8 shots would produce serious bouts of laughter.
And to prove the lame goose is still at it, his "nap" yesterday was De Plotting Shed (1-5). So sad.... Okay wonks, I see you are turning up the heat on Slick from the start. Making me fav AND using a 3 pointer straight away. May the best man win..... |
By:
You could do with some PR razzamatzz here boys. No edge, no money on the line, no forfeit...no eyeballs, no pay per view. This one is going straight to DVD if you don't up the entertainment factor.
By:
And with a bit of luck it'll slump down the rating if YOU stay off the thread, so do us all a fav D'ozy and stay away, surely BB must be on one of those strange stations you watch, theres a good boy.
By:
You'd struggle to find a worse grade 1 this year, if SC doesn't win this he should be retired, I'd imagine they'll pop him out in front and he'll make all and win handy enough, Ma Filluile the only danger. The rest are a million.
By:
I wouldn't be surprised to Flemenstar go very well.
Conti has it to prove at the moment. I wouldn't b sure he hasn't fallen out of love with the game. He wouldn't be for me tomorrow. |
By:
Dom Alcos are known for regressing with age, you could be right, but it's a dreadful grade 1.
By:
Slick will introduce himself to the competition steadily.
ONE TRACK MIND 2.05 Haydock (1pt). |
By:
S.Conti taking a bit of a walk in market ,Nicholls saying hes two weeks short , looks as if I'm in trouble Slick.

UNLUCKY SLICKSTER BEATING BY TOP CLASS RIDE FROM DICKIE

GOOD START WORKRIDER
By:
Just wondering would be possible for someone to count o heirs nap or next best for the duriation off this contest
By:
Wonks out of the traps with a rocket up his a***!
A 3pt (nap) win at 2-1 Favourite gives him +9.00. Slick, a 1pt 2nd at 5-2 Favourite gives him -1.00. The Wonk +9.00 Slick -1.00. |
By:
Thanks Norn.
By:
Great start for you Workrider, a nice lead early.
Two good picks today, One Track Mind ran very well and a bit unlucky to come up against a rejuvenated Reve de Sivola. Potential to be a cracking comp based on todays evidence. |

By:
WD WR, Sil fairly hosed up.

O.K. Day 2 . Naas today provides the action, and I find myself been drawn to a horse that to all intents and purposes seems right out of form. Twinline an enigima of sorts, hes the most in and out horse I'd say Willie has in the yard, yet year after year he wins a good race for them. He took my eye at Navam in Dec when he seemed to be getting back into it only to be pulled up before the last , he made a bad mistake over the far side which may have decided the issue for him .
On his most recent run at Punchestown he again showed promise, been in the firing line for most of the journey, then lack of fitness kicked in and he faded before the last, that was a improved performence. I'm hoping been reunited with Ruby will do the trick and 1pt at 10/1 on here looks nice all things been equal. Good Luck Slick... |
By:
That should of course read TWINLIGHT..
By:
According to Ruby Simply Ned is the one ..
By:
Ha ha, well called Chelt!!
By:
Okay wonks, to confirm you are 1pt on Twinlight 4.05 Naas.
Poor fayre today, so Slick will go hunter chasing!! 4.50 Ffos Las, 1pt on Arctic Fire. An addition to the rules. Obviously, if you have a non runner you can change it. You happy with your lead El Wonko? Are you not concerned with the 8lbs your selection must give to the rest of the field? Happy hunting... |
By:
You have me at it now wonks....
That should read ARCTIC BEN. |
By:
Thought there was something not quiet right with that selection, I thought Chet had arrived early , shocking day ,just leaving for Naas .. |
