Paranoia is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion.[1] Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself (e.g. "Everyone is out to get me"). Paranoia is distinct from phobias, which also involve irrational fear, but usually no blame. Making false accusations and the general distrust of others also frequently accompany paranoia. For example, an incident most people would view as an accident or coincidence, a paranoid person might believe it was intentional.

I have long held the belief that fear defines many on here.
Fear of the the unknown, the unfamiliar, the 'foreign' be it skin tone, culture, religion, or sexuality. Fear of (or intimidation by) the better educated, the humorous, the articulate, those familiar with modern gambling techniques, the successful punter etc etc.
I believe it was Plato who said; We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.

Well when anyone starts a thread on an anonymous betting forum about their family then I think it's safe to say there's something lacking up above
