The begrudgers

If you threw a blanket over The Begrudgers on here, there would be one common denominator; all n'er do wells.  Bitter disappointment in their own failings, manifested as schadenfreude oozig from their every pore.

The Sutherlands, the Snaps, the Bono's all bestride the global stage with great elan.  We should be immensely proud of their impact, success and accomplishments.

I actually feel sorry for these repressed, un-progressive illiberal non-elites who are unable to share in the joy of the success of others.

Its outrageous to bracket the skitting Snap with your heroes.

You may get vicarious pleasure at watching Sutherland effectively bestow honours on himself but this pension laden hypocrite hates his own people his own culture probably why you like him.

You remind of a codger who would tell a local politician; 'shure if ya fill the potholes on me road I'll vote for you.  Shure tis all about lokig after your own, who gives a bej@ysus abut the bigger picture or dong the right thing?

So insular, it's as if you think its still the 1950's.

I am proud to officially declare myself an Internationalist like Peter Sutherland.

Most of us are innately nationalist,you are just mixed up.

You are nationalist during a rugby match,you get confused easily.

Is it nationalism that makes you proud of Bono and Sutherland.

These internationalists are two faced chameleons but always nationalists when they are home.

You are the confused one.

Cheering on your country at a rugby match is just a bit of sport.  We take enjoyment and pride from it.  But at the end of the day it doesn't really matter.  People matter, and not just our own people.
