I doubt that, SS beat has beens last time out, when he comes up against a good un he has no chance
Wouldn't agree with that Chelt.
Has beens they may be, and he was getting weight, but he absolutely murdered them. And it was the style in which he sauntered to the front that suggested he may be the SS of old. And Somersby may be a has been, but he was 2nd in last years CC. They are a motley crew at the moment.
UDS has it to prove, and I am disappointed he isn't running Sat, as I though Simonsig was a tremendous bet to beat him. Funny enough, Simonsig chances probably haven't been enhanced too much! He would have relished UDS and Special Tiara belting off and setting it up for him.
I have little doubt Simonsig at his best would beat UDS. And SS at his best would beat the lot.
UDS was a crazy price ante post. I reckon he would have gone off evens, or shade odds against.

Strongly disagree that Simonsig at his best would beat UDS, not a chance imo.
I think your been very deniseive of UDS and what he's achieved in his career so far, it's a hell of a lot harder to win races from the front particularity grade 1 races, UDS has never been beaten when he's stood up that alone is an incredible feat and worthy of a bit more respect,

The horse is a freak, as for sprinter sacre, at his best I'd agree that he would beat UDS but he's finished now, he was trained to the minute to win lto cause they were so desperate to price he wasn't a back number.
Re UDS again, I recall people saying last season when he's taken on up front he'll be in trouble, see the trouble with that is no one is quick enough to take him on up top and last the 2 miles, special tiara would not be capable of having the freakish speed needed to go off the pace he does and last home, its exactly what makes the horse the freak he is.

I wouldn't say I'm dismissive of him Chelt. I'm quite a fan actually, and made plenty off him at Chelt last year.
We wont find out now, but I would have been shocked if he had started anywhere near as short as 4-7. That is what made him a silly price at the time. It wasn't even a day of race market(which proved costly to backers). Its not just UDS, quite frequently these weeks the AP fav for the big races are shorter the week before the event than they are when they are safely declared.
Simonsig won a poor Arkle(so did UDS). Neither were very impressive IMO. Simonsig was injured and pulled like a **** for 3/4 of it. I feel he would have won a CH had they gone that route. He has(had) an unbelievable engine. Maybe it might not still have the same power, we wil find out tomorrow. But at the prices, I would have been backing him all day rather than the 4-7 on UDS.

Its hard to know how good U.D.S is, he has won 13 of his 14 Races winning 365k in the process, his best performence for me was beating Gemix in France, we will know how good he is come March when he will meets 3 champion chase winners [hopefully they all stay sound lads]

Because he is an out and out 2 miler and always has been.
Say he blew the house down after it too. I hope he wins Sat anyway. To have him , SS and UDS doing battle in the CC at the peak of their powers would be the highlight of the festival.

Obviously Simonsig and SS are pale shadows of their former selfs. They havent a prayer come March.
Simonsig showed no signs of stopping when he won the Neptune so I would think he would get 2.5 miles without any difficulty, but he must have badly needed the run quite a bit.
The only other time he stopped when cantering was in the Tolworth when he returned home sick.
4/7 ante post did look short if the others had turned up and the bookmakers might have taken a chance on him on the day.
