I am probably stating the bleeding obvious but think Long Dog is in a different league in the Royal Bond.
Sunni May was second in a decent bumper at the Fairyhouse festival,he finished 4 lengths ahead of a real good horse Death Duty that day. The Harrington horses are flying Our Duke appeared unfancied in Punchestown yet beat De Plotting Shed 21lengths with an odds on shot of Willie Mullins unconscious behind. Only slight negative is the delightful Katie Harrington. |

Fury from an Irish traveller family. Is he related to Finbar and brothers, I wonder?
|
|
By:
Born and raised in Manchester, England, Fury was born into a family of Irish Traveller heritage.[5] His paternal grandfather was from Tuam, County Galway, which is also the birthplace of his father John Fury. His maternal grandmother is from County Tipperary and his mother was born in Belfast. His family has a long history in boxing; his father competed in the 1980s as "Gypsy" John Fury, initially as a bareknuckle fighter and unlicensed boxer, and then as a professional boxer. He is a cousin of Irish WBO Middleweight World Champion Andy Lee and heavyweight Hughie Fury.[12] Hughie's father, Peter Fury, is also Tyson's trainer. He is also a distant relative of "self-styled King of the Gypsies" Bartley Gorman. His father named him "Tyson" after then-world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. He is a supporter of Premier League football club Manchester United.

“There are only three things that need to be accomplished before the devil comes home: one of them is homosexuality being legal in countries, one of them is abortion and the other one’s paedophilia. Who would have thought in the 50s and 60s that those first two would be legalised,” Fury said.
He sounds like a man after your own heart, Borneo. Wants to fight at Croke Park. He can F**k right off as far as I am concerned. |

Because they are neanderthal dosen't make them wrong , ask any muslim, are you saying they are all neanderthals Ozy ?
|
|
By:
Sorry, I don't follow, can anyone translate?
Any Muslim I personally know is far from a Neanderthal. You, on the other hand...... |
|
By:
If I ate a tin of Alphabet spaghetti and then went for a good sh1te, I reckon that the contents of that sh1te would be a a better post than Ozy could compose.

By:
Sorry Ozy ,that post was a little over your head ,so lets break it down for you lad , according to your post on 1/12 15 @ 22.14pm Tyson made those comments and you went on to call him a Neanderthal, billions of Catholics and Muslims hold the same views , so it begs the questions ,are they ALL Neanderthals iyo ?
|
|
By:
The answer is Yup!
Wonks, sorry but I no longer bother getting into substantive debate with the likes of yourself. |
|
By:
In slight mitigation, I think Tyson said a lot of that to placate his father and uncles. I'm not sure he actually believes all of that.
If you see his Youtube interviews with the likes of Kugan Kassius on YouTube, he was very generous with his time, hour long sittings and had a real warmth about him. The uncle did time in prison for gouging out a fella's eye over a drink..... years later. I reckon Tyson toes the line with him (he's an exceptional trainer and is family after all.) I think being the champ and an end to this stuff will be a relief to Tyson. |

probably the most charismatic HW champ since Ali.
|
|
By:
George Foreman is a very charismatic man but only when he a became born-again Christian in the late 70s Fred, his boxing career is something you would find only in a comic book...its reported that he has made over 200millon putting his name to Russell Hobbs products.[more then he has made out of boxing]...he has 12children as well.

By:
Here is the latest from this tool;
"a woman's best place is in the kitchen and on her back, that's my personal belief". He is about as charismatic as yourself, FreddieK, with the intellectual capacity of Wonks. No wonder you are both so drawn to him. |
|
By:
The only part of that statement that's upsetting you Ozy is ,A Woman on her back ,go on admit it ,you were hoping he'd say a Man ..

Not to many women will be sending Christmas cards Oz,..After winning in Germany, Fury was installed as one of the favourites to win this year’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year award but an online petition had already collected more than 40,000 signatures demanding he is removed from the shortlist... charismatic is not the word i would associate with Mr Fury...Not at this stage anyway.

40,000 intolerant liberals unable to accept differing views.
They don't get the irony of them suppressing the view of a man who hails from a group they champion. |
|
By:
Seems intolerant liberals might be getting there way Wildman, Fury was 5/1 to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year just after he won , you can here 27/1 here now if you feel they might change there minds , but i doubt if they will.

McGregor is relatively sharp and also holds progressve modern social views. Was very supportive of gay marriage for example.
Dubious comments such as "I love Jose Aldo like my b1tch" and "Chad Mendes hits like a b1tch" have received some backlash for possibly being offensive to women. McGregor's dealt with the suggestion in an extremely mature manner; "Maybe things like that, if I was to look back and I was to sit there with my mother by my side or my sisters. (But) it's different up there, in the heat of the moment you might say some things, but again, all you got to do is look at the women. They're hitting harder than the men now. Maybe I should stop saying that." There is plenty to admire about McGregor; he is in great shape and an entertaining, compelling fighter to watch and to listen to. None of which apply to the guy you consider a charismatic hero. He is patently not right in the head. Then again, if you are a member of the Traveller Community, I can understand how you could look up to Fury. |
|
By:
he'll get some sense knocked into his thick head this weekend (like Rousey who couldnt back up the smack talk) or whenever he's fighting - i've no interest in what he does- its just hes omnipresent in the media. But this bandwagon will come to a shuddering halt sooner or later, whereas Fury will probably be around for much longer.
|
|
By:
The same people who are outraged by Fury's views are the one's shouting loudest for Traveller ethnicity to be granted special ethnic status. Once they are granted ethnic status, they will be expected to tow the line as regards political correctness and views on other minorities, thus moulding all groups into one and no alternative opinion or views accepted. These people who claim to want diversity and debate are the one's who are trying to turn everyone into uniform, boring clones with no debate or healthy exchange of ideas permitted.

It's not this weekend.
Presumably you will be gobbling up the odds against on Aldo. McGregor's star appeal dwarfs Fury. I would actually fear for Fury's health if he were in a boxing ring against that sport's pound for pound best fighter. That's the scale of the task that faces McGregor. |
|
By:
McGregor knows his time is limited and is milking it for all its worth. I doubt you can have a long reign at that feral carry-on, unlike the man Fury dethroned who had been on top for a decade or so.

Ironic indeed from a guy would lock down the borders, apply trade tarifs and revert to a Theocracy by applying your own (Caththolic doctrine) social choices on all citizens at the expense of their own free choice. And then you have the gall to talk abut 'healthy exchange of ideas'. |

Aldo has been Champion for 11 years. You ignorantly deride things you don't even have basic knowledge about. It's classic back street boozerism. |
