Hello virtual friends ,finally the jumps season is upon us and another exciting winter to look forward to, few bets for me today as follows.
2.10 - Casual Approach 11/2 - This may come back to bite me but I do not like the favourite here and would be a place lay against much tougher opposition than hes raced so far. There seems to be a few front runners here so hopefully it wont be a dawdling pace and dickie can sit handy on a horse that will have no problems with the course or distance and had a couple of decent yardsticks behind him last time namely Snow Falcon who ran well in the Neptune.
2.45 - Dormello Mo currently 3/1 - This selection is based on price tbh, its a toss up in my opinion and although I dont complain about Rock The World being fav, my selection has run very well in all chase starts and has beaten some decent types. With only 3 runners it could be a messy race, he can make it it needs be.
3.55 - Vintage Vinnie 5/2 , It remains to be seen if his last race was a fluke but he won v impressively and this is obv a lot tougher, Ballykan is the danger imo but I think my selection will try to make all, has good ground and is a nice jumper, I think he might just force these to make mistakes and at the v least will trade odds on at some stage for a trade.
5.40 Clondaw Banker 15/8 - Has disappointed from what I've seen. Never seems to go unbacked either and has been again for this race, hes interesting now in handicap company and surely has to be better than his current mark.

won his bumper nicely beating a Henderson inmate that ran in the champion bumper..hobbs didn't want to send this one to Cheltenham ..and has just given him more time..has schooled adequately according to Johnson white..(ass, trainer)but is held in some regard..has to beat another well thought of Henderson debutant who ran @punchestown..has been backed over night,,

hi norn..hows it going?..im sweet on the hobbs animal I took 2/1 last night, trainer is not shy at getting his better novices out early,looking forward to sunday..2 good races ..the first and the bumper..
You are forgetting Ozy that if Ballykan is not beside them turning for home, easygold will be here saying he did not have a bet.
Ballykan was bang there and finished weakest of all.
Hopefully yours wins Tony - Looked a really nice horse last time and should be hard to beat if he has matured and does not run around as much.

Knob....... 1.35 of course I was involved........ I can`t tell them how to ride....... got done for speed...... why he didn`t try and make it a test I do not know.... best jumper in the field by a long way ????? Ah, was prob 30/35 mins ago when I struck bet Pa. Suppose I shouldn't have assumed it still there.
Fairly drastic cut all the same Callit, not really justified on exchange price,could be some of their Waterford shops are getting a few bob for it?

as I said wr..I didn't fancy the winner, hobbs done all you could ask..tried to go from the front, winner done it well.

Again it goes over the Chimps head , I actually name the TWO Irish horses I have backed in the race, but the poor plonker fails to see that while trying to score points he shoots himself in the foot AGAIN..
Have backed Savello here , never really liked him , and got it badly wrong one day at Punchestown I think, having looked at him in the parade ring and thinking he was to small for chasing procedded to lay him to my horror he hosed up . c/d winner and with a yard that knows the time of day I think hes worth a punt.
