Frank, surely what you ment to say was, with O'Shea OUT we have a chance. One of the worst players EVER to don a Irish jersey imo. I was hoping for Hungary if I'm honest, these are the next best and I think we have amajor chance of getting to France.

John o Shea one of the worst players to don an Irish jersey??? Now there's a statement and a half, I'm my no means saying he's world class but that is a pathetic statement, Ireland had one of the best defensive records in the qualifiers.

Not because Oshea had anything to do with it, John is as honest as the day is long and gives his all for the cause, but he is one of the worstdefenders we have ever had play for us and thats saying something, how Sunderland pay him £40,000 a week is beyond me,but fair play to the guy hes milking it while he can..

I note the Man Utd coming out in you Ozy, how he fooled fergie for so many years is incredible. As I said already a honest joe of the highest order, but devoid of skill imo..,

The way he debuted against Gudjohnson and Hasselbaink at Stamford Bridge, he has been a disappointment. Pity he didn't cultivate a bit of that hardness that Chris Smalling seems to have gotten.
Delaney and O'Shea are probably still our two best CBs given Wilson seems to have some kind of r etardation and Clarke is rash as well as being light physically. You'd see O'Shea when he's really "at it" like against germany and you'd wonder why he can't always be this way.

He was able to fool Fergie, one of the all time great managers, but not the Tallaght supremo. Wonks is well qualified to pass judgement, an experienced Rovers fan, just look at all the great players he has seen throughout the years.

I would have thought our only truly world class player over the last thirty years was Liam Brady,he would have got into any team in the world at his peak.
Keane was good but didn't have the class of brady.

I know what you are saying frank and it is a fair point, for me brady was magic he would get you off your seat,i used to love watching him,of course keanes work ethic was much much better.
It is all about opinions of course, and I may be biased,as I was a teenager when brady was at his peak, and all my memories of him are magical.
