Great card there tomorrow, ground was good to firm but its raining there now.

I really fancy an outsider there tomorrow.
Blue De Vega.

He will go on any ground, might even have a preference for a cut being by Lope De Vega.
They went for a touch with this lad in Dundalk,he started 9/4.
He missed the break, ran green and was slightly hampered,I think he will improve a mile.

I accept he is a maiden against a host of winners,he appears to be OCallaghans second string but I don't care, think he is nailed on to beat Moral High Ground.

This horse to me is a great each way bet at 33/1,try and have a thousand to 30 each way.

Any weather updates from you Dubs would be appreciated.

raining steadily from 4pm onwards at Leopardstown, pretty heavily at times, actually stopped at the minute though
Report wildmanfromborneo September 11, 2015 8:01 PM BST
Thanks lads.

Have a look at the maiden General MacArthur won in Dundalk.
Bear in mind there was fortunes for Blue De Vega, watch him miss the break and watch his other mishaps.
This lad will come on a ton from this.

Worth a small investment at the prices.

Im heading to Leopardstown myself Wildman; i will have a few Euros e/way on Blue De Vega , ty

P power taking no chances anyhow wildman have it priced up at 12/1
Report neill d September 11, 2015 8:46 PM BST
Haven't looked at that race wildman but I would certainly agree that Blue De vega should have won in Dundalk. He reared or did something at the gate and basically lost all chance only to finish very strongly to place. O'Briens was an easy fav and all the money was for Blue De Vega. I'd say the only reason they continued after the start was that the e/w money was down. Some of these back-end maidens could be quite hot but he'll win one in Dundalk at the least this winter.
Report neill d September 11, 2015 8:46 PM BST
will be quite hot* fckin obviously

He's still one to keep in mind.

I think Found will win the big one,she has speed all over her dam side but she seems to stay.

Have done her in a double with Bondi Beach Wildman,Think Bondi Beach is a cert personally,Has done nothing but improve all season and think there's plenty more to come still,GL.
Report wildmanfromborneo September 12, 2015 12:39 PM BST
I think Bondi Beach is a bit of a thinker, for those that trade in running he is one to put up as a lay at odds on.

I can see him cruise in the races, trade at a short price and then find nothing.
Report CheltenhamRoar September 12, 2015 1:17 PM BST
Bit harsh to label a horse a thinker after only 4 lifetime starts wildman,I'd be inclined to think that's just greenness,
When the penny finally drops he will be a very decent animal. His Debut win tells ye all you need to know about him.
Report p_r_e_m_i_e_r__f_a_n_t_a_s_y September 12, 2015 1:21 PM BST
Aye he was not meant to win that day SadCry we had lumped on Bantry Bay
Report CheltenhamRoar September 12, 2015 1:26 PM BST
Exactly! So he's obviously a lot better than what he shows at home.
Happy COD is on board today rather than Dettori.

PYROMANIAC stone bruise, give me a break. Can the stewards check this??
Report CheltenhamRoar September 12, 2015 4:41 PM BST
Mullins other yoke Digeanta well over priced here..
Report Kelly September 12, 2015 5:59 PM BST
Stewards again .  Think Golden Horn will keep race  , not sure it should .

Surely it is time for the stewards "rules" to be revised , only criteria to be applied is "natural justice " .
Report Kelly September 12, 2015 6:04 PM BST
Free Eagle very unlucky .
Report CheltenhamRoar September 12, 2015 6:18 PM BST
Thought i may have got a lucky double up there for a minute (BB & Found)Cry
Report Tolmi September 12, 2015 6:25 PM BST
There is no way Free Eagle could be deemed unlucky. He came there travelling best..got into a duel and was losing it when he was bumped. He had gone from being level to 3/4 length down before the bump. The only way he could be deemed unlucky is that he might have finished second.
Report one last chance September 12, 2015 6:41 PM BST
Brave bump all the same
Report Tolmi September 12, 2015 6:57 PM BST
I would imagine the Stewards Enquiry went something like this

Was it accidental? Yes

Was the jockey at fault? No. He had his whip in the correct hand.

Did it affect the result? Possibly the second and third would have been reversed.

Was the winner the best horse in the race..Yes

Judged by the mercifully speedy verdict it didn't take them long to answer those questions.
Report Kelly September 12, 2015 7:24 PM BST
There will be no appeal in this case . Smullen interviewed on ATR , keeping his real thoughts to himself I suspect .   If another horse ( no matter how well it was travelling allegedly ) comes across 4 horse widths in a couple of strides and completely takes your gound with only a short distance to go to the finish , no one can say definitely who would have won .  Golden Horn was outbattled at York , who knows what would have happened in a final furlong ding dong between him and Free Eagle .

Frankie is good at PR too .
Report tony57 September 12, 2015 8:18 PM BST
best horse won..think eagle was struggling when the bump happened? I backed welds..would of been interesting if he had got 2nd tho?
Report pa lapsy September 12, 2015 10:17 PM BST
He certainly didn't want to go past Simple Verse and he had plenty of time to,very possibly a "thinker" indeed.
