Second week of year end fed ex deal tomorrow and given his current form Jason Day is fairly priced at around 13/2 on here but no matter I generally avoid golf shorties as stats will tell you to avoid. Fancy a few who ew offer better value.

Bubba watson was solo 3rd last week and has top form before then with 4 top 5's from his last 7 events, he also knows how to win with a few victories already in 2015. He's my main bet for the week.

Henrik Stenson also brings solid form to the table, 2nd in New York last week together with 2 other top 6's in his last 5 events gives the 2013 winner of this event a great chance to gain a overdue win, hopefully his putter behaves.

Bubba Watson W&Pl here at 25" s
Henrik Stenson W&Pl here at 16's.

Best of luck.

Welcome back DEP" Rumors Of your Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated".. I backed a few outsides that  played well in the Barclay last week,Carlos Ortiz 680/1..Spencer Levin 850...Steven Bowditch 190/1, .i will add to these during the in/play .goodluck

No strong trends to follow in the Deutsche Bank last few years. Being  fresh and in good form seem to be the main requirements to win it:

Bubba Watson 22/1
No great form @ this course but in red hot form last 2 months and deserves another win to finish the season.

Brooks Koepka 40/1
Price seems a slight over reaction to bad week @ Barclays as he was playing well before that.

Robert Streb 60/1
Excellent form this year without winning including good shows in last 2 majors. Would be nice for him to bag 1st win before end of season.

Webb Simpson 66/1
Putting has let him down last few weeks but if he has a hot week with the flat stick, he can contend.

Daniel Summerhays 150/1
On of the best putters on form who is let down by other parts of his game. Good show last week and top 10 in this event last year.

Good luck.

Hoff 4.9 now WR. Prob worth a top up on the lay. I would have no faith in myself. Also notoriously hard to back up such a round as yesterdays. I would expect at least one form the classy quartet of Day, Stenson, Zach and Ricky to produce a low one today. Hard to see Hoff outgunning them boys tomorrow.

Playing with de Jonge will be of no help. He too is a choker, and once one of them hits the skids, history has shown that the other is very likely to follow.

Top 5 lays on both could be a cheap way to go.

Carl Pettersson looks a good bet at 11-10 to account for Hunter Mahan in the 15.20 2 ball.

Mahan has had a shocking year, and his season looks set to end this weekend. A 69 on Friday was promising, but he reverted to type yesterday, and I wouldn't expect much better today.

Like de Jonge and Hoffman at the head of affairs, Pettersson is not one to be trusted in lofty positions, but he is more than capable of producing a low one form off the pace. There will be birdies out there today for sure, and it sets up nicely for a low one form the Swede. He should be clear fav, close to the 4-6 mark IMO.

4pts Carl Pettersson 11-109(small few quid available at 2.14 on here)

Reed 4 under through 4 so clearly there is a low score out there.

I think with Hoffman it can go two ways. He's clearly not the most convincing front runner but someone needs to get close to his score to put pressure on him. If someone else gets to 12 or 13 under I can see him dropping shots.
Report callitasucit September 6, 2015 6:13 PM BST
Think there will be quite a few low scores today Lewisham. Those in behind, like Reed, Lee, Matsuyama, Furyk and the big 4 will all be going at flags. A few of them will click, and go low. Because Hoff knows this, the pressure is already on. Will he cope? In de Jonges company?

Not for me.

Lot of chokers up there.

Hoffman, De Jonge, O'Hair, Chappell amongst others who should be in every respectable layers list.

Having said that Hoffman just made birdie at the first Shocked
Report lewisham ranger September 6, 2015 7:05 PM BST
The danger is Hoffman gets it to 15 or 16 under by the close of play today and basically takes out everyone not in double figures by that point, and makes it hard for anyone else

Day is fatigued

Report callitasucit September 6, 2015 7:09 PM BST
There should be plenty in double figures by close of play though.

Wouldn't worry about him birdying first, plenty of time for him to implode. His past is a much bigger sample size than the first hole.

On the FedEx Cup as a whole, I wouldn't be surprised to see todays two ball opponents Henrik Stenson and Danny Lee fight it out for the loot.

Stenson is an obvious contender, but its Lee that would interest me if there was a liquid market.
Report lewisham ranger September 6, 2015 7:13 PM BST
Yeah I agree Calli

Tbh you can tell by their body language that their mentality is weak, Hoff and De Jonge's swagger just doesn't convince me, they don't have that confidence or swagger of a champion, which is a big clue as to why they've won so few tournaments. (De Jonge 0 from 200 plus pga tournaments.)
Report callitasucit September 6, 2015 7:16 PM BST
Yeah, and playing with each other will be a hindrance many more times than it will help. Maybe if they were beginning today on 4 under, two streaky birdie machines could be of benefit to each other.

But in the cauldron of the final pairing, when one of them is odds on to implode, it cant be of any help to the other.
Report lewisham ranger September 6, 2015 7:16 PM BST
If you just sat there and patiently laid these guys inrunning, Kevin Na is another one who springs to mind, F Molinari as a european, you'd probably make a fortune over the course of the season.

Day used to be in the chokers list but he seems to have got over that mental hurdle for now
Report lewisham ranger September 6, 2015 7:23 PM BST
Berger is an interesting player. Been overshadowed to some extent by the other young guns Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and Patrick Rodgers this season (not to mention Speith)

But there's something about him which makes me think he's going to be a top player. Son of a top tennis pro Jay Berger so the genes are there alright

Report callitasucit September 6, 2015 7:43 PM BST
Yeah, the media seem to 'sex up' certain players, whatever the sport.

They don't have a divine right to have chosen the right ones. Berger is definitely a talent, though I do believe if Thomas can be coached properly, he may be the real deal. Worry would be that it may be the case that he is just as thick as Dustin Johnson and any amount of coaching wont fix that ailment!!
Report lewisham ranger September 6, 2015 7:45 PM BST
Surely Fowler should be shorter odds than Stenson if they are both on the same score.

Won twice this year whereas Henrik yet to visit the winners enclosure. The Swede also unconvincing with the putter.
Report lewisham ranger September 6, 2015 8:06 PM BST
lol yes huddy's, Bello great tee to green but horrible when it comes to putting away a tournament. Remember some event earlier this year where him and Gregory Bourdy stunk the place out in the final round.

Hopefully Henrik and Rickie will go on to dominate, that would really help my book, they really should the way they are playing and with the opposition around them so unconvincing.
Report callitasucit September 6, 2015 8:09 PM BST
Suppose Henrik started a lot shorter than Ricky. Though it is not really that relevant now, it still has bearing on a market principally funded by traders.

Stenson a bit like Lee Westwood IMO. More bottle obviously, but similar in that he is a bit of a Harchibald. A very very high class animal...with one speed. He hits fairway after fairway and green after green , luring punters in week after week. Yet misses the important putts.

All that said, he is in position now, where that gear may be enough barring Ricky.

Perhaps there is a more pronounced edge available in laying "bottlers" in running than punting pre-event. Probably could only be done between rounds as liquidity appears to be poor during rounds (typical o/r of 114% + unless majors).

It would take a bit of patience and maybe only 10-15 lays throughout the year.

I always find it perplexing when punters say I enjoy the challenge of a difficult puzzle like 20 runner HCAPS or pre event betting on golf, Fook that all you want is $$$

Report callitasucit September 6, 2015 9:28 PM BST
Each to their own I suppose dj. As regards racing, I prefer the better stuff. I don't know enough(care enough) about the run of the mill fare to be betting on it. Suppose its just lack of interest.

I watch as much golf as work etc allows, so when fancying one pre event it would be galling to see him stride 3 clear on a Saturday afternoon without having had an investment.

I have though pretty much said word for word what you posted there on more than one occasion in the past.

It would be a tough assignment to attempt to decipher the lower IQ-The Gobshee/Kingrat.

Best of luck with Stenson this w/e anyway but it would be a good idea to keep all your golf bets on an excel spreadsheet.

Easy then to filter profitability into categories ie Pre event outright, Lay IR , 2/3 ball betting etc and see what works best over an extended sample size.

Charlie Hoffman essentially a 1000 shot and would be confident you could pick plenty of those IR with the place lay being the cream, GL

Stenson going well for you , deplasterer .  No bet myself  , and have seen only bits and pieces of play .

Fancied Day to be up there but apparently he is "fatigued" , and his scores reflect that .

Thought Rory would have put up a better show too , and with Spieth missing the cut you wonder where "form" enters into things , although Stenson has been playing well .

Rory played our course last Tuesday , a.m. early .  But that does not leave you a lot of time to tee up on a course 4000 miles away on Friday . Only discovered that tonight , think local pro had stuff on some site about a local member who "joined" Rory , Michael and one other down the 18th .  Fair play to Rory , and I think he got 17 holes without eavesdroppers .

Monday finish is always strange , course yielding some great scores , could be a roller coaster tomorrow night .

When Galileo goes they might as well shut up shop.

In fairness, he is a good stallion but has he ever produced a decent sprinter/ miler? Plenty go the national  hunt route and as you can see from the leger entries he will create a record this year for a stallion by supplying the most progeny  in the oldest classic. Nothing to write home about.

I would put most of his success down to the exceptional mares he has visited.
