In a shop earlier on after racing in bellewstown just wanted to lodge a few bob and an older man was doing a bet in front of me, 400 stg (shop in Dublin) on the last fav in wolverhampton, he was counting out the 20s in front of me, he couldn't count them properly if im honest and had to ask the young lad behind the counter how many more he had to give him, as he walked away I noticed puddle under him, he was after pissing himself and was oblivious to it he just sat back down watched the horse get beaten, I told the staff and they were like ffs but that was it really, if ur too drunk in a pub u don't get anymore drink, I personally don't think its right for bookies to be taking bets of people in that state and would love to hear peoples opinion on it...
sry read it wrongly but what do you expect the staff to do? actually say something to the man and cause a scene? as for the drinking in my local bookies on sat its full of punters hopping from the pub to bookies.its part of bookmakers strategy to open up besides pubs and a drunken punter is more likely to lose.

Drink is a red herring in this instance, that chasing instinct is not borne out of drink (who says the drink caused him to piss himself?), people succumb to it sober and the betting is involuntary at this stage (Intellectually, the guy probably knows he is striking a bad bet). In answer to the OP, when they've taken everything you've got.
