The listed race in Hamilton tonight looks at the mercy of Prince Gagarin. His best run as a 2yo came on soft ground and he probably lacked match sharpness in a messy race in Chester. He ran much better at the Curragh and the form there looks very solid with Curvy winning in RA. The second has also run well enough in both Derby's. The trip of 1m3f should suit and there's generally very few sob stories in Hamilton.

Tony he's officially the best in at the weights and deserves to be favourite. On his best form shown to date he has a winning chance but I don't believe he's fully shown his hand to date. With ideal conditions I'll be surprised if he doesn't win well.

Looks like being a real slog at the trip and not sure it is ideal for Prince Gagarin. Stamina on dam side alright but combination of trip and ground might be against him.

It's a poor renewal of what used to be a very good race, but that continues the theme of recent years.

Maybe Medrano will be best suited by conditions as the Beckett filly does not seem to settle well enough. If she did she is a big threat.
