Buzz off Barosso will be tough to beat in that race tony. Massive eyecathcher last time, finished strong from a poor position.
I think she's a pistol has a good e/w chance here at 9/1. Ran well at listowel from poor draw on heavy ground. This test will be more up his alley. |

Fancy T/Pines here , it wasn't a bad maiden it ran in and should improve for the fitting of f/time blinkers.

What a pig, nearly ran out at the bend and didn't want to know .

Hurdles next port of call for Torrey pines

Doubt any jockey would be phoning for the ride on that.

Buzz Off Baruso was probably the seasons biggest eyecatcher so far this season, did back him small as well Newsapproach. Though it was such a spectacular finish it almost certainly won't be repeated tonight. Be hoping Fran will be closer and show some semblance of that finish all the same.Social Climber is probably the more solid option but maybe the penny has dropped now with BOB.

Good run from buzz off barroso, came up against a strong stayer in azzuri who kept pulling out more. The ease in the ground would have suited the winner more also I would suggest. Buzz off barroso still one to follow I think, particularly on fast ground.

Yeah, winner kept finding, pair finished nicely clear, should be just a loan alright.
No bet but Affinisea is bred in the purple in the last and will watch his run. |
|
By:
That was impressive there and looked a big gawky type to me,more to come.

By:
Sea The Stars looks like being a formidable sire...might even be the next Galileo !
|
|
By:
thought social climber would enjoy going up in trip but im not sure it was the fact of 3 runs in 3 weeks that may have killed him?although it did look like he had come to the end?

not a bad card for tonight's jumps meeting..
6.00 IBSEN this trip looks idea for him won @limerick lto yard in fine fettle,i don't think Riviera sun stays this distance?so the mullins horse is the one to beat? 8.05 peregrine run @9/1 e/w the punchestown run was fair on debut , was well backed into 2nd fav, so e/w im willing to chance it..i'd be very interested in the o,brian debutant, its breeding suggests that it,ll play a big part in proceedings and also yard and jockey are on a roll..but at the prices a small interest on the selection |

tony martin sends one over to uttoxeter tonight 7.45?

A Ladies bumper without Nina Carberry or Katie Walsh riding must be a first in recent times.

Uninspiring card to me but Naas looks worse tomorrow.
I always looked at Jane Mangan on a par with the 2 above and she has an interesting double figure ride in that.Quite eyecatching on her debut at Ballinrobe where she passed a fair few late on and finished with a good bit of running left, she does though have two very solid opponents in Kalopsia and Billys Hope.Meades newcomer Corella Creek could be anything,i would like to think both Twilight Shadow(behind at Ballinrobe) and Mellana(on a line through Howareyadoing) are held. Whizzy Rascal would enter place calculation as well, other than that think it concerns the 5. Bet 3.65's 7/1 in the w/o fav market looks very big eachway to me for Poetic Lady but had to settle for 11/2 with pp which still looks fair on that debut run. |

I was surprised to see Rivera Sun so short.....Roscommon a great front runners tracks and I can Children's List getting an easy up front and nicking it
|
|
By:
thought geraghty rode them to sleep there..surprised they let him lead..but I thought he was suspect at the trip..got that wrong..but all his runs at it were poor..but if you let geraghty dictate your asking for trouble
|
|
By:
Have laid D/Pass here.
|
|
By:
Tony how we're all his runs at the trip poor? I would argue they were his best runs! Beaten 9l by Cheltenham winner and then 6th in his first handicap in Punchestown was a great run. Mullins horse is one of feh worst in the stable. It was a donkey's race.

Finglas you willing to do battle ? say 100e to charity from the loser.Should be a bit of fun wouldn't you say, you can show me up for the fool i am and enhance your reputation on here into the bargain. It should be a no brainer .

Tony, Forecast was the bet in Uttox

|
By:
i often find that the best jockey wins these lady rider races so I can't see Poetic Lady out of the first three, particularly if it comes down to a driving finish.

WD THE GOTCHEE.
WOULDN'T DOUBT YA JANE, UP UO FECKIN DAT. |

Pa Lapsy ant The Gotchee get together....There can only be one result.
A nice 8/1 winner of the bumper. The bookies certainly bet tight in it,16 runners and they went 11/8 and 7/4 and appear to have been obliged with both. |
|
By:
Well done gobshee, hope you stuck to your guns and backed it to be placed . Unfortunately it's about 3 years too late for anybody who has been following your tips , as they are sadly no longer with us. It's so long since the gobber tipped a winner, his followers have been to GA and not alone are they cured, they are councillors by now.

By:
Well done pa. She certainly gave it a better spin that the first day when she was dreadful.
Was interesting to see that Poetic Lady was 7/2 with 365 without the first two favourites right before the off. This was the fact that everything else was completely dead on the machine and she was trading 2.3 in the main place market. |

bigwilly,
if you look at the horse in the races or read the write ups the horse finds nothing at the trip..2out finds no more, 3 out nothing left, keeps on at one pace.under pressure in 5th keeps on same pace on run in..hardly glowing endorsements that the horse gets the trip ok?the 5th to windsor park..reads well but I watched the race he struggled to get the trip, ridden no impression..that was its first run at the trip.. I got it wrong as the horse won last night but im just explaining how I came to the conclusion, and for me geraghty won the race. |
|
By:
catch me if you can,
you were not wrong I did like the winner but I thought it was too short so left the race..thought martins was looking the winner till 2 out, then winners stamina kicked in. be interested in the lads opinion on the o'brien debutant in the 8.05? never looked happy never in it..was strong in the betting but that was expected as jockey and trainer were in form in these races..as we know fto there is always a chance things can go pear shaped..but I had the 3rd e/w (thought it was the winner turning in)but does anyone know if anything came to light did the stewards say anything? |
|
By:
Thanks Distant,i didn't see that 7/2 w/0 2 favs,i hope you got something on,quite a severe rick. They pushed her out to 8/1 w/o Kalopsia when generally 4-5/1. On the opposite side of the coin PP went 8/1 w/o Kalopsia on Twilight Shadow and she started well in double figures for a place.
Post race report say she only just got away with the ease in ground, don't think she will be a forlorn hope either at Galway if fastish. Apologies for getting a bit "excited" btw,was in a bit deep for me and was a bit surprised she won for outright ew. |
|
By:
O Briens horse was post race normal(turfclub.ie),fair bit of ease in ground maybe?
Wonder how BJG's impact on the McManus horses will work out? Rightly well documented that a lot of his could run a bit better, can't see Barry playing that game, will he just be on the ones that are expected to run well? |
|
By:
thanks pa..i watched the race and the horse was never going..?
|
|
By:
Tony i would read it totally different to you. Horse was screaming for step up in trip!!
Wasnt fancied at Christmas and then had his best ever run in Punchestown. Was running against rubbish. Will make a nice chaser. |
|
By:
I got it wrong bigwilly..so you may be right.

Looking through Bets*** earlier Distant View and looked at a selection there this evening,i've no interest in that racing but coincidental or not the other exchange(daq) haven't put up a single back bet on the race. Might be nothing at all in it but it seems odd to me. Good write-up and case made on that preview i thought.
|
|
By:
Thanks
I must look at that. Seems strong in the market at the moment anyway, but very light trading. |
|
By:
Heading to Naas but the racing leaves a bitter taste , a pity really because Naas are really trying. One thing of interest, full brother to D.A on show, the big hitters don't mind a card like this, most will be shoveling it on those odds on shots .
|
|
By:
Wd to him D V,it hacked up. Maybe the "reluctance" of the daq to price up the race was due to betfair keeping the nr Java Rose in til around 3 when he was out at 10am,still that horse was about 26's at time, maybe i was overly suspicious with them but seen "odd things" there before.
