if any european trainer did his research and planned his horses campaign towards this race then it was easy pickings for a decent group 3 horse and a european group 2 horses would have won doing handstands............there is 1 irish runner and one french runner.........it is simply mindboggling that other trainers did not target this race. highland reel would be good enough to win and i dont really rate him..............maybe outside jack hobbs and golden horn the other three year olds in europe are rubbish.

Pointless sending these horses over to the USA when given rides like smullen gave postulation ...sitting off a slow pace and the leader leading from pillar to post...when in Rome etc
Let's hope o Donoghue uses his brain in the Belmont oaks and doesn't get left behind too much..

A best mate lives in cape cod, had brunch at the owners house this morning and travelled to the race with him in the Lear jet, 10 in total in the jet, some way to live.
so do you think your point was valid for this particular race or the european horses would of had no chance against the winner LADY ELI?
my post was about the derby.............430k or the winner. i was not referring to the oaks race.
