Il start of in Europe this week were there's a good field lined up here,the one player that's stands out for me is F Molinari,he's been playing some super golf in Europe and also America in the last few months,he really should of won this year,when I checked oddschecker and seen powers were paying top 7 places I taught to myself this is a bet to nohing,cant for the life out of me not see him outside the top seven,on the down side they are only paying 1/5 the odds on the place side of the bet,
Now on to America were the field weak enough,the player that im going for is Patrick Reed,he's had a quiet enough few months,has shown some good form then the next day he been playing poorly,but hes the type of player that can win out of the blue,worth giving him a chance at 28/1.its a sad day when you see Tiger priced as big as 60/1 against such a poor field,cant back him at the moment,bu if he's up there come sunday I for one will be cheering him on,

Bit surprised that Bubba is double figures after last night(Wd bubba backers),he brought off some great shots,know it is which one turns up but i was impressed with him.A 30th and 16th last two years would be a slight worry but not a very strong field.
Good places in France indeed with PP Huddy,s can see why you like Mol with his course form as well. Thought Dubission showed a bit of his old form in the BMW,like Levy as well and hope one get the pond treatment Sunday,Allez Francais.

Showed first signs of form this year when T10 in the Travellers last week. Used the travellers as a nice sighter for this one last last year and could do the same this year.

Excellent short game player who should be suited by this kind of test. Showed a bit of form @ Chambers Bay and we could see a much improved showing here with 2 top 10's under his belt in this event already.

SOME picks to consider...
1. Webb Simpson — Simpson is an absolute must this week. He’s got three top-10 finishes in five career Greenbrier appearances. This course suits his eye. Having a very solid season overall.
2. Bill Haas — Haas is another rare horse-for-course player at Greenbrier. He has a pair of top 10s in four starts, and he’s never missed a payday in this event.
3. Bubba Watson — Last week’s winner is making his third Greenbrier start, and he’s finished top 30 in both starts. It’s a sort-of home game for him, but don’t think of that as an edge.
4. Kevin Kisner 33's with PP — At some point, Kevin Kisner is going to win on the PGA Tour. His profile fits the type of guy that has won here in the past: not a superstar (yet), but a guy with a very solid resume. He has a bad Greenbrier record, but that was a different Kevin Kisner.
5. Paul Casey — Casey has never played at Greenbrier, so this pick is almost wholly based on his form. He’s one of two guys — Kevin Kisner is the other — to have lost in multiple sudden-death playoffs this year.
6. Tony Finau — Finau has notched six straight top-25 finishes on the PGA Tour. He’s figured out how to get it done on the biggest stage. His length should prove a huge edge and can help overcame wayward driving.
7. Pat Perez — Pat Perez has two top-10 finishes in four Greenbrier starts, so the Old White TPC clearly appeals. He was MDF’d last year. He’s rested after not playing since Memorial.
8. David Lingmerth — The Memorial winner has a pair of top-16 efforts in this event and he cashed last week at Travelers in his first start since that Muirfield Village breakthrough.
9. Brendon Todd — In his last four starts, Todd has alternated missed cuts with top-17 finishes. That’s not too shabby. Was in fourth here last year.
10. Will Wilcox — Wilcox has taken advantage of limited playing opportunities, making seven cuts in 10 starts this season, including five top-25 finishes. He was T-4 here last year.

"Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River" as John Denver sings 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' to The Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia. It began in 2010 as Billionaire Jim Justice the owner of The Greenbrier Resort puts on his sixth TOUR event this week. All five winners, including 2014 champ Angel Cabrera who fired 64-64 to defeat George McNeill by two shots had never played the course before.
Another TPC Par 70 (34-36) 'The Old White' is out in 34 but comes home with two par fives and at almost 7,300 yards it sounds long but in reality it's not, especially with huge fairways and greens. After adding almost 300 yards, no player in 2011 put all four rounds in the 60s after 46 did in 2010. In 2012 there were 14 players who hit the 60s in all four rounds, seven in 2013 and eight last year with rounds of 61, 63 and a pair of 64s. Stuart Appleby's 59 in 2010 is the course record and will last forever. The course has ranked in the middle of the pack on TOUR for the last three years. Don't be surprised to see a leaderboard with some names we're not accustomed to seeing as a thin field again this week means this event is not as strong as others and we note each winner has come from off the pace on Sunday.
Add Brendon Todd 50/1 has T20s in two of his last three along with last year's T4 so resort golf is more up Todd's alley proven by his win last year at AT&T Byron Nelson at TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas. He's a superb putter and should have an advantage on large greens this week. Only made three bogeys total in his final three rounds here last year after opening with 71.

Two pretty poor events this week.
Its been a fair while since Francesco Molinari has been favourite for a tournament in mid summer, and though he has serious claims, it is an indicator of the standard of field that such an infrequent winner is deemed the most likely one.
There are a few big names in here, namely Westwood, G Mac and the best of the lot Martin Kaymer. But all three have questions to answer at the moment, and can only be watched. I will be watching Kaymer closely, in the hope of an improved showing ahead of St. Andrews.
A big name returning to form after a spell in the doldrums is Peter Hanson. He would have been very close to Molinaris price at his best, and given the promise of recent weeks, his best may be just around the corner. 4th here in 2009, and 6th in 2010, he obviously relishes this challenge, and at 50-1 he is certainly worth backing.
A pair of Scots who should also appreciate the tough nature of this layout are Richie Ramsay and Marc Warren.
Ramsay has a pretty indifferent record at the track, but is an ever improving player, and one who comes here in fine form. An opening 74 cost him a chance of victory last time in the Lyoness Open. The way he knuckled down and fought to the line there after a woeful start when he was 5 over through 9 is testament to him.
Soren Kjeldsen was a bit stop startish last week, but his previous excellent recent form, allied to his very good record around here(even when in otherwise poor form) suggests he is worth persevering with for another week.
Jamie Donaldson has probably suffered a bit this year in trying to compete on the two tours. This is his level, but he seems a little big week to prove this week that he is capable of winning at it. 5th here last year, and 6th in 2013, he will have this down as one of the tournaments he can win this year, and I expect he will come here ready and confident. He wont be afraid of any in this field.
Chris Doak and Eduardo Molinari are two that appeal at massive prices.
I backed a few in PP as the likes of Warren and Donaldson can shy at the winning line, and with it being such a poor field, I quite like the 7 places return.

For that reason I feel it is worth taking the chance Bubba Watson can back up last weeks victory. If he is at his best, and puts it all in, he wins. I am prepared to take 12s on that. I have seen players of less ability, in similar fields, who don't have the same conversion rate, start at half his current odds. He played well enough here the last two years to suggest he can tame the track. And if in similar form to last week, he will go very close.

He had a chance to claim his maiden major in the US Open and was a bit disappointing over the weekend, but what that did show is that his game is in good shape and this is no US Open. He certainly has a class edge over most. He has had two sighters here, and can build on his decent effort of 12 months ago, and contend on Sunday.

He has been posting superb finishes in events far superior to this, and if he can keep his booming drives on the short stuff, he could be in line for a career changing win on Sunday. I find it hard to see him not contending at least on his current form, and the 13-8 for top 20 is also worth backing.

He can win when in contention, and 150-1 that its this week is just too in a field of such little strength in depth.
