Jason Day has chosen not to compete in this week's AT&T Byron Nelson Championship.
Following Ian Poulter's withdrawal yesterday he wrote, "I will not be competing this week in Texas, I picked up a slight strain in the Gym on Monday, so taking precautions and not chancing it." He didn't specify exactly what hurts, but he added in a follow-up tweet that he's not planning on playing again until the U.S. Open. A pity as he's been in good form.
So another one bites the dust. It's possible that the conditions at TPC Four Seasons are part of these withdrawals, but tournament officials are still planning on crowning a champion at the conclusion of 72 holes.
